You afford to own 16-80z but cant whack rm100-200 filter ?  biggrin.gif

bro, i bought UWA & 1680z at the same time la...where got budget for filter at that time...thought those moderate filter can do ma...mana tau...cilakak betul...got vignetting...i thought get the slimmest can do already...sweat.gif

but anyway...i dun usually go to dusty place...so...filter is not necessary la...to me UV filter is more to like a lens protector only...i'm quite a careful when handling things...so it's fine for me to leave without a filter smile.gif

CPL filter, i used it like once every 10 times...and 1mm zooming wouldn't hurt the picture...smile.gif

BTW, i've got many other hobbies as well and photography is just 1 of them. Economy these days not so good!!! Need to learn how to make full use of the things we have...

RM300 for a filter? ehm...i would rather buy fresh coffee beans...and make a god-shot for you guys for the next TT smile.gif ... oh yeah ... i'm a home barista as well, another hobby ...

Nono , What I meant is reducing the F number.
Of course , zooming in also reduces the vignette.

Really? Havent really tried the 30mm F1.4. Been tempted to get a low light lens , but reading all the reviews puts me off.
I know I know we shouldnt trust on reviews but should try it ourself, just that I dont have anyone who owns that lens =.=
Summore cant try it in shops , have to pre-order summore =.=

And I asked in penang road the salesman there , they said its terrible compared to 50mm f1.4 sony.
damn =.=

when the review says bad, mostly it was compare to a better lens, hence, there Are Another Better Lens to worth over that lens. when u get seriously good review, mean, it is on it's own top class with no much to compare. looking around, i think there are few more better choices of lens to fit ur sytle.

When they do review right , they hardly compare with other lenses.. They go witht he MTF chart and so on.
So I dont think reviews are bias.

Center sharpness is awesome wide open , the only part is extreme corners, though not much lens suceed in delivering
50mm F1.4 is awesome throughout the test.

50mm F1.4 isnt any high grade lens though.

Well , it might just be me that I read the 30mm F1.4 from the ascept of Nikon, cos they dont even have 1 review for 30mm F1.4 sigma.
They only had sony lenses for review and hardly any third parts on alpha mount.

wasnt that the point? tongue.gif when i say better mean, same range, but better after the comparison.

50mm and 30mm are totally diff, from the element curves. of coz the 50mm will be sharp all over compare to a wider like 30mm or 20mm. dont matter the lens are super G or normal lens, a good lens will always get better judgements.

nikon? aisks, when they do a review of "A" lens, the review doesnt apply to a "B" lens. u have to get (dig it) for a proper full review on the siggy. smile.gif (like achew loves to say, dont compare an apple to and orange, now i say, dont take apple review to judge an orange)

i dont really bother with F1.4 lens nowadays, because on my A300, (assume applies to A330 too) the AF sensor arent the best, thus i get inconsistent focus accuracy with F1.4 DoF (or sharpness). thus end up i rather shoot at F2.8 above, hence i choose a zoom F2.8 then F1.4 lens. biggrin.gif
