Sounds odd but indeed it has vignette on A300 + 18250. Probably that time I was using Hoya 62mm UV filter, hence there's vignette when screw in the adapter. Mine was a P series that holds 2 filter.
*
poad: ur 1870 already got 50mm ma.. no need change la.. kasi a 1/16 powered flash and bounce it.. should be ok edi one

wha7: no wonder la, u put another filter somemore, sure vignette d..

ya got new ones, thought might come in 2 weeks time but looks like the bulk went thru successfully icon_rolleyes.gif

still getting used to the 16-105 weight..seems like it feel slightly heavier than the 17-50 f2.8 (although specs wise it is not)

imo is better to buy a branded one which cost a little bit more rather than trying out those cheaper one that causes vignetting... so what will u do when the cheaper filter causes vignette??? you buy another brand to try out... if that causes vignette you are going to buy another one again... so better to buy 1 expensive filter rather than a few cheap one... just my 2 cents... thumbup.gif

SAL 50 F1.5???? haha. For me the 1750mm works well for me...n constant F2.8 aperture is wat i need ...n its sharp at F2.8! I usually dont like to boost my ISO too high.. so the F2.8 works just great to maintain the high detail.

if you don't plan to sell SAL16105, i would advice you not to buy the tamron 1750, trust me, f2.8 is not gonna help much in low light if you don't use flash.
if i were you, i may consider getting sigma 30mm 1.4 smile.gif for the huge aperture for lowlight and bokeh shots, that will make more sense.

clivengu: haha typo...1.4 is the correct one...

tanjq87: prime again...actually i oso donno why i wanna buy a 2.8 lens maybe becoz of the bokeh in wide open...not really about the low light. I will not sell my 16105 as i like this range when travel, very useful.

30mm 1.4, i actually don like to bring lot of lens out and don really like the idea of prime too....i might consider sell off my 50mm if 1750 2.8 serve me well

LoL.. yaya.. good filters doesnt only give you awesome qualities , it prevents the glass from pecah and doesnt reduce your image quality * though not visible *

Filters are like insurance , sort of a way to me though =) haha..

Well.. if you get vignette at 16mm , try stopping down a few stops , should be okay =)

The 30mm f1.4 isnt really sharp right? Never really had the chance to try it out but read that the 50mm f1.4 is way better for the bang of bucks rather than the 30mm.. which is quite disappointing.

How much is this lens going at the moment?

those original camera brand filter are quite sucks imo.
This is why people keep recommending the B+W / Hoya HD for high grade lens
16-80CZ what, B+W recommended tongue.gif
