Okay guys,

I recently fixed an Xbox 360 from RRoD which my brother received from his friend (he's 13 years old). The thing is they were leaving and it was broken (RRoD) and so they just gave it to us on the 'if you fix it, you keep it' basis. It's one of the first batches of Xbox 360, in 2006 if I'm not mistaken.

Now I have fixed it, but haven't put it back together.

I was wondering if I can apply the NXE update to this Xbox 360 because I'm not sure if this Xbox is mod-chipped or not. How can you tell? I'm not going to be playing LIVE with this Xbox though, but I would like to keep updated with the dashboard and everything.

So tell me guys, is it safe to apply the update?

ya, safe to upgrade, i done it alrdy, but u need a pendrive.after update NXE , u can play the latest game

anyways, go get 2 pirated games and try to play

this will allow u 2 test whether its modded or not

and if u wanna update, use a thumbdrive about 7mb will allow u 2 update to latest NXE

Try play some RM8 games
if can boot then your console is MODDED.

btw..if you update the latest NXE. you can get banned from MS.

If you want NXE with avatar you'll need 100mb+ pen drive.

Now the damned thing has an E74 error, after getting rid of 3RRoD. Time to go fix this first.
