QUOTE(robertngo @ Nov 20 2009, 01:57 PM) when PS3 firmware update to support divx 7 is release we can play mkv directly on PS3, since divx 7 is using mkv format, now if they will add ntfs support, it think the hardware sale here will went through the roof you mean if it supports DIVX7 means it knows what is .mkv extension and we can start playing them? there is even plan to release a 3D update for all PS3, that will be awesome if you have 3D tv. cos even now, we can already play the advance video codecs in the MKV like H264.. it just don't recognize mkv.. so have to remux to mp4. anyway the real issue is the FAT32 limitation, they can make divx1000 also cannot play those larger 8GB files.. QUOTE(DarkNite @ Nov 20 2009, 04:05 PM) I never said FAT was 8GB limitation, its 4GB la.. I was trying to indicate you still can't play those 8GB 1080p movies unless chop/split files (as compared to those smaller 720p, also need to chop but not much) |

QUOTE(aiman04 @ Nov 20 2009, 04:33 PM) Another way is to use media server. I always copy my 8GB files to my PS3's harddisk this way. The PS3"s harddisk is not FAT32, only the external USB drives connected to it must be FAT32, hence the 4GB limitation. thanks for the clarification..anyway I tot you remux king? retired from all those remuxing already ar? |

QUOTE(aiman04 @ Nov 20 2009, 05:04 PM) I wanna keep the movie in my PS3, don't wanna turn on my PC every time I wanna watch. This usually movies I really love but not yet available on BD, or the existing BD release locked to other regions so I can't buy it. Once I have an 8GB Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back, ripped from HD-broadcast in my PS3. It looked quite good in HD. Again, I'm a geek in a weird way. |
