yeah the CF events feels like a rip off to have to pay 15 per day, i mean come on now seriously if they have to pay for the speakers appearance then there's a problem since the event is suppose to increase awareness to the public to increase the market pool, but the speakers can't do even pro bono work? WTF?
and there are ways to get fund even from the government if they have a good negotiator on their team. either from sponsorship or back alley deals. and sigh the more i see the bake puchi the more i want |

actually having a base coat of black or grey is better to paint over since it would simulate shadowing effect while having a white base coat would be harder to deal with since highlighting effect normally come last in the painting process.
simply put use a dark base coat if you're beginning to painting and want to cut corners, white base if the project has a high skin exposure or the pallet would gear towards pastel colour. and use water base acrylic since i'm not sure about gsc products but lacquer base paints generally have a tendency to warp pvc slightly. |

actually it's easier to use dark colour as a coat since you can get away with a lot of mistake and it give complex design models a readily available shadow effect between creases of clothing or weapon gaps etc.
not to mention if you use thin layers you can slowly apply till you get the desirable tone for the first layer without breaking you brains to get the right colour ratio mixture. though if there's a lot of skin exposure or the pallet would consist of mainly pastel or warm colours then it's better to use white or cream colour as a base. and i start of painting with miniatures figures not full scale resin so i'm use to useing black as a base since white is very harsh in pointing out errors in details. |
