accs_centre: How does it sound compare to b4? r the woofer u changed from logitech?
I'm using S4.1, so far very satisfy with the clarity of the satelites, but the subwoofer lack a bit of bass so i changed to 90W subwoofer.
BTW, all reviews I read are very positive regards to S2.1D satelites.

the part of satelites u modded is call woofer.
the subwoofer i changed to Atomic 90W subwoofer, bought from car accessory shop.
But for S2.1D the transfomer only support up to 80W max i think.

i changed it, rm1.50 per meter in jalan pasar. inside satelites also changed to this wire (the original wire is too thin, look like or just normal red & black wire) and crossover is added, but the crossover didn't bring much different, except the treble is a little bit higher, hardly notice. I'm using audigy 2 value at first, later change to AV710 and now settle with Aurilium, can bring between home & hostel. btw, i modded my S4.1, the subwoofer, capacitors, IC all changed and sponge is added. ok, it sound better without the grill, coz the grill will block out some sound (higher frequency) from the speaker.
n it also look nicer.

same problem as mine b4.
other than the placement of the subwoofer, nothing u can do, coz open up the subwoofer will avoid warranty.
the edifier subwoofer is very soft and not elastic enough. after the warranty may be u can change it.
only the front speakers, i use it without cover, but somehow the rear speakers always with the cover on the woofer deteriorate faster, now already very ugly with chocolate spot on the white area, while the front speaker still ok.
just need to avoid tiny drink drop on the woofer, coz it is made of paper.
