the BENQ FP94VW is good. compared to a 29" SDTV, it is not that small at all.
only minus points i can think of: 1) no speakers, but got earphone jack 2) as a PC monitor, it is a 16:10 display. xbox360 and ps3 outputs 16:9 images so have to compromise abit (choose either stretched/cut off on the side image) |

I dont mind paying a lil more if it has. Could u gimme the specs? Thx. |

Actually what's deal with 100hz?
I can see huge improvement between 60hz and 100hz on CRT TV, but for LCD, I see 60hz on LCD as good as 100hz on CRT TV. |

Once again I appeal to Lowyat.net's VGA gurus' in helping me purchase an LCD TV. Initially I wanted the samsungs F8 series 46". Price at Legend HIFI (SS2, near murni) is RM17200. Problem is it's way above my credit card limit. Right now the 40" is looking pretty sweet. The sony is at RM9100, Samsung should be around same price. Which should I get????? Help please, thank you.

Anyone knows how to join astro split unit to LCD.Hmmm.. how to describe this. I got my main astro unit at lower floor, so for my own room at 1st floor, I am using a Astro splitter to connect to my ex. TV. The problem now is that when I connected it to my new LCD, it seems that the LCD don;t have channel 00. So I can't watch astro from it. Any advice? Thanks

If you're looking for a sub-RM10k display, the 40" Sony W series 1080p would be a good choice. If you prefer slightly larger real estate then check out the 50" LG Plasmas which is around RM7-9k QUOTE(SilviaSS @ Dec 25 2007, 08:36 PM) Anyone knows how to join astro split unit to LCD.Hmmm.. how to describe this. Try to cycle through the inputs for the TV, ASTRO should be one of them if the cable that you're using is supported by the TV QUOTE(James831 @ Dec 25 2007, 11:57 PM) 1 noob question here ? That particular model will accept a 1080p signal from the PS3 and downconvert it to 1050p. This monitor is highly recommended. hitman, how to look real good?
details wise its still a 1366 X 768 panel, not fullHD i think budget would be ur main consideration, if u have that amount to spare, go for it |
