Sharp have the best picture quality while the Samsung have the best look while being not too far behind in the PQ department. If I were to get one for my living room I'll go for the Samsung but if it's for a dedicated movie room I'll go for the Sharp

Get the Philips Full HD la since you can get it for a good price

But if you look at the Philips Cineous range, it is actually one of the top rated LCDs together with the Panny. The problem with HDTVs is that almost every major manufacturer has at least 1 top rated screen and a large number of crappy ones.

Previously owned a Sharp BX5....same panel with PX5. Switched to 40" V300A recently. Good PQ, 10-bit panel, support 1080p. Can't comment on the Sammy though as mine is only a 32 S81 je heheheh

my main issue now not becos of bluray or ps3, main thing is normal channels, becos we in jaybee mostly watch SG channels one, so tat one a main issue, and of cos i know LCD + astro = shit, so tat one i won be bother liao

I'm not so sure if you can call it a gimmick lerr. U see, it supports 1080p but outputs it in the native panel resolution. Still you will be able to set 1080p in you xbox360 setting which I wasn't able to do with my previous 42" Sharp
