nando, if ur usage is for DVD/Astro, I believe that Panasonic is ok. U don't need HDTV for DVD/Astro.
HDTV? Free HDTV channel will be a long long way before it comes here. Even standard digital TV (I don't consider Astro+standard decoder as true digital TV) will take another 5-10 years to become a common thing. Year 2020 perhaps? However, I'd be interested toward next-gen DVD (HD-DVD or Blu-Ray) which supports HDTV. At least right now u can download HDTV movies from Internet if u got at least a broadband and lots of patience (6-12GB in size!). |

Dell 24" does support 1080p. Try to use VGA cable instead of component cable.

QUOTE(tot31 @ Aug 15 2007, 02:18 PM) It depends also on the input of the LCD (maybe Dell 24" component input is only up to 1080i). Better wait for redbull to confirm as he owns Dell 24" and he's getting 1080p with his X360. Yeah, Dell 2407WFP can only support up to 1080i thru component but u can stil get 1080p using vga cable. So far BenQ FP241WZ can accept 1080p thru component. Ask fair-pley. |

bro rx330, i found it rather confusing for the end consumers who is not aware or has little knowledge on HD. This could be a marketing gimmick (IMHO) and buyers need to clearly know what they are buying or looking for.
As for 1080p display, not all 1920x1080 rez panel is truly full HD capable. In this case, Tosh 47WL66E. It could only display either 720p or 1080i. Full HD display is still at premium price here in Malaysia. But, I do hope that it would becomes 'affordable' in time to come. |
