Ya well said, buy abalone get siham. The same goes for the H. City/Jazz vs Accord. In the crash test the Jazz got pwned big time as well. That's why I'm looking to change my 5-yr old City smile.gif

Crumple zone or not, it sure pays to have more steel than the guy crashing into you smile.gif

They *could* build cars that won't hug a tree upon impact, but it'd cost too much and be too heavy for most ppl to run economically. Unless you want every car to look like a Hummer smile.gif

If you think accidents can be fully avoided solely by your right foot, think again. Many accidents are caused not by the vics but by external factors, i.e., tree falling down in a storm, a car from the opposite side lost control while trying to avoid hitting a kitten etc. My dad had a near accident one time when an iron pipe fell off a lorry and nearly hit his car's windscreen.

Regardless of how safe a driver you are, getting a good solid and safe car should be top priority when shopping for a car, not just how good it looks or how powerful it is.

You iz dunno how to read btw the linez. I loled at your typical mentality. Btw if I were car shopping I wouldn't be asking advice in a computer forum lol smile.gif There are so many good and proper car forums out there.

I wonder what happens if...

VOLVO 940 vs TOYOTA VIOS

I wonder how badly smashed will the VIOS be, with an oncoming tank-like car....

Between a VIOS and a old banger 940, I'll go for the 940 and "save for rainy days"

There's an old banger Volvo 244DL in my house. The other day my bro met with an accident driving this car, a Wira hit it from the side. The Volvo's car door was dented but still can open while the Wira's radiator gone, front bumper went to Kingdom come and the bonnet oso bent out of shape. Year 1973 steel vs Year 2000 biscuit tin.

come on guys, no point saying cheaper car build like milo tin lah, no ABS lah, no airbag lah......
i cant imagine if camry hurt more than vios in this crash test, who willing to buy it? we pay for what we get, if u cant stand for milo tin then just go for expansive car if u can afford.

Oh touche my brain.

If only you know that the 940 will give you headaches and pain in the arse waiting to be stranded during long journey. Not to mention that the aging body crying out loud for parts replacement. No matter how sturdy is the chassis, good luck taking the old clunker back home and don't forget to bring gallons of water before your radiator running dry.
