My Digi smart plan was activated earlier this month and my current unbilled amount is approx RM18. I've been using my BB everyday for chatting, surfing web, etc but absolutely no tethering. Also, I've left the APN settings as the default for T-Mobile on my BB Bold 9000 (didn't change to blackberry.net).
I'm wondering what are the differences in their BB setup or account for those who hv reported being billed for GPRS, PAYU, etc
Hi techgirl, my Digi smart plan is having the same behavior as well. I don't perform tethering or connect to PC at all. I'm wondering what are the differences in their BB setup or account for those who hv reported being billed for GPRS, PAYU, etc
I guess Digi Customer Support still new with Blackberry service, thus I received pretty different information whenever I call them.
a) First called and asked about the unbilled amount, CS1 said, no extra charges on internet usage, as long as I am using the Blackberry device. However, they can not see my unbilled bill until the bill is out. But said it should be able to waive it once I call back when I received my bill.
b) When bill is out, amount is RM52.90 for GPRS, which minus some unexplainable charges rebate for Blackberry RM 9.67 and DATA PAYU Tier 1 RM4.58, so all in all I am still need to pay additional RM38.65 for GPRS. Which after a call to CS, they said again they will try to waive it.
c) Recently, notice again the unbilled transaction is on the rise although i seldom make calls. Call back Digi CS, same reply as (a)
d) Tried D'chat instead, the CS2 said nothing need to be configured on the Blackberry, it should be automaticly configured. But later when I asked about the APN settings, this round the CS replied APN should be set as "blackberry.net". When I asked what is the different if I don't set it, he takes about 4 minutes to ask me to wait and say he will escalate it for further clarifications.
I am pretty happy with the Blackberry service overall but looks like subscriber like us may need to "escalate" this issue if persist. At least help Digi to firm up their configuration needed on Blackberry to avoid unnecessary charges to subscriber. If this issue persisted, it rather looks like Digi is cheating consumer money by tricks(no informing customer on correct configuration). Paying BB services but still get to pay additional GPRS.
