I've just gotten a BB Bold 9000 with Digi Smart Plan on Friday. So far, it has been an excellent experience.

However, I'm facing this problem that a call rings for a few seconds and goes directly to voicemail. I've tried to set it to "Do Not Forward" under the Call Forwarding settings for both Line 1 (calls come into this line) and Line 2 but for Line 1, the settings doesn't save. It's still defaulted to forward to the voicemail.

Please advise as this problem is getting very annoying.

Thank you.

Hi domokun,

Thanks 4 the prompt reply but is this a common prob amongst BB Bold 9000 users with Digi Smart Plan? I followed the instructions on page 24 & 25 of the manual (highlighted in bold below). I'm just curious abt this. Anyone encountering the same problem?

1. In the phone application, press the Menu key.
2. Click Options.
3. Click Call Forwarding.
4. Perform one of the following actions:
• To forward all calls to a call forwarding number, select the Forward All Calls option. Change the Forward All Calls field to a call
forwarding number.
• To forward unanswered calls only, verify that the Forward All Calls field is set to Do Not Forward. Change the If Busy, If No
Reply, and If Not Reachable fields to a call forwarding number.

5. Press the Menu key.
6. Click Save.
To stop forwarding calls, change the Forward All Calls field to Do Not Forward.

I've called Digi Helpline and hv disabled my voicemail via *128#.

Try calling Digi @ 016-2211 800, ask them to either extend rings or cancel off your voicemail.

On BB Bold 9000, what's the difference between using "Browser" and DIGI WAP (Web 'N' Walk)? Is 1 of them chargable (not included in the BIS package)?

My fren was using BB Tour on Celcom but unfortunately, they do not support Tour. He jumped ship (to Digi) after I talked to him abt Digi Smart Plan. So far no probs.

Couple of forumers here confirm it work on TOUR.

I also got a confirmation from digi_telco from their twitter reply

I've subscribed to Digi Smart Plan & using BB Bold 9000. My APN settings r showing T-Mobile settings.

1) How do I ensure I do not get charged for PAYU?
2) M I able to use my BB for tethering and not get charged for data plan/PAYU?

My Digi smart plan was activated earlier this month and my current unbilled amount is approx RM18. I've been using my BB everyday for chatting, surfing web, etc but absolutely no tethering. Also, I've left the APN settings as the default for T-Mobile on my BB Bold 9000 (didn't change to blackberry.net).

I'm wondering what are the differences in their BB setup or account for those who hv reported being billed for GPRS, PAYU, etc

Hi xtrail,

Thanks 4 ur reply.

I received my 1st bill (pro-rated) a few days back. There's a column called GPRS Unlimited with the amount of data downloaded/used but the monetary value is shown as zero.

I'll drop by one of the Digi centres to check out the APN settings.

Hi techgirl, my Digi smart plan is having the same behavior as well.  I don't perform tethering or connect to PC at all.

I guess Digi Customer Support still new with Blackberry service, thus I received pretty different information whenever I call them.

a)  First called and asked about the unbilled amount, CS1 said, no extra charges on internet usage, as long as I am using the Blackberry device. However, they can not see my unbilled bill until the bill is out. But said it should be able to waive it once I call back when I received my bill.  whistling.gif

b) When bill is out, amount is RM52.90 for GPRS, which minus some unexplainable charges rebate for Blackberry RM 9.67 and DATA PAYU Tier 1 RM4.58, so all in all I am still need to pay additional RM38.65 for GPRS.  Which after a call to CS, they said again they will try to waive it. thumbup.gif

c)  Recently, notice again the unbilled transaction is on the rise although i seldom make calls.  Call back Digi CS, same reply as (a) whistling.gif

d)  Tried D'chat instead, the CS2 said nothing need to be configured on the Blackberry, it should be automaticly configured.  But later when I asked about the APN settings, this round the CS replied APN should be set as "blackberry.net".  When I asked what is the different if I don't set it, he takes about 4 minutes to ask me to wait and say he will escalate it for further clarifications.  nod.gif

I am pretty happy with the Blackberry service overall but looks like subscriber like us may need to "escalate" this issue if persist.  At least help Digi to firm up their configuration needed on Blackberry to avoid unnecessary charges to subscriber.  If this issue persisted, it rather looks like Digi is cheating consumer money by tricks(no informing customer on correct configuration).  Paying BB services but still get to pay additional GPRS.  shakehead.gif
