Hi, m new in this forum, m contemplating to bold 9700 or wait for torch to come out(I've never own a samrtphone b4). I went over to a phone counter today and he was promoting bold 9700 and the fact that he does not know that torch is coming out soon. but nways thats not the issue, he was telling me that digi service provider is not good as celcom and celcom has better coverage as well. the only good part on digi is thats cheap. so just wanna know what u guys think of the provider's service. oh yah, digi RM68 plan is only for the internet usage only?

Hmmm..

Firstly, I have no issues on telco network. Recently converted from maxis to digi due to cheaper rates and packages. If not mistaken, for celcom and maxis the package has to be both calls and data. For digi, for any calls or sms, you will only be charged when you use it. I rarely make calls using my phone as most of my friends were on BBM. So, that is a bonus for me. Coverage wise, no comment on digi. So far so good and the connection is fast and stable. Bold 9700 is quite the latest one here. Soon it will be BB Torch, but don't expect it to be too soon. If you plan to have Bold 9700, Digi do offer a package for it. But you have to be tied to the contract period. Other than that, can just get the phone and then register the line. It's your choice bro..  smile.gif

to be frank.. most of digi CS suck big time when talking anything related to BB.. i have been through a lot of troubles with most of them.. out of 5, only 1 is well trained
*
agreed! i went to a digi specialized centred today and they did not even mention about the rebate of RM40 and i kept on asking are you sure its RM68 for the 1st 6 months and there is no rebate ... the cs said no! I was not satisfied with the service and than i called several digi specialized centre around northern and like you said out of 5 only 1 is trained well on the product knowledge! this is so irritating!

actually whoever register after 20 sept should pay addtional rm 10 for BIS.
but the funny things is...
yesterday i went to register this, before going i call customer service to reconfirm the plan again...
but the result is...even the operator also don know the bis package price is arised, she said there is no such things for additional rm 10.... doh.gif

Guys, be patient. Not everyone is educated on the products. Product changes everyday, if they conduct training everyday means no one will serve you? We as consumer can get the news even faster than their staff. If all staffs are busy updating themselves on DiGi stuffs, then who's gonna do the work?
*
Correct, digi or even other telco's change their promo very often but its quite frustrating when you go enquire bout something and they have the least idea on it, and they even say i'll check and get back to you tomorrow/later. So its the head of dept or the branch manager should be updating the frontliners(since they are paid for their job)!

Does it mean that digi still provides cheaper plans among the other telcos? i am really interested in bold 2 so is digi currently the best offer? m not a heavy user, don't need push mail just normal surfing.
