need some advice, currently using the maxis iphone ivalue plans 2. Paying RM155 per month, but the iphone my wife using it. I am using nokia e71. Plan to get a Blackberry bold 2. But the ivalue plan contracted 2 years and i started the plan in nov 2009.
Can i subscribe the digi smart plan, paying rm68 for the unlimited access, but this unlimited access i use it as broadband ( currently using maxis broadband to online),if i subscribe the digi smart plan, i will stop the maxis broadband.
so the blackberry bold 2 i will use back my maxis line, the digi unlimited access will use as modem to online.

Yup. I can double confirm.

If U paying RM68 per month, use APN=diginet
If U still paying RM58/month (old package), use APN=digistrm

Your plan wont work.

Maxis ivalue will not give U BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) for your Bold 2. So U will miss out a lot of BB feature like Push Email, BB own IM client and etc.

If U really want to use digi as mobile broadband. U can configure your Bold 2 to tethering under Digi line. Google "Blackberry tethering" if you dunno how to configure.

If I use Bold 2 for tethering, the battery life will shorten?

No long term impact but depending on your intensity of use you will use your battery more than just using it for texting and calls, just like any other phone
