Hi people,

I just locked in my MNP registration with Digi yesterday and I received the transition SMSes (like byebye, thank you from Maxis and Hi from Digi). Within the next few minutes, my Maxis line stopped working and I swapped to the Digi SIM card.

However, I realized that BIS doesn't get activated immediately. I called Digi and they confirmed it is not activated yet. And I have to wait awhile for the service to come online. Just want to verify with members here if that is the case and is there anything I need to do on my side (on the phone)? Just want to be proactive and get things done soonest possible smile.gif

UPDATE 12.16pm: Got my answer. The APN to use is diginet all the way. Doesn't matter if I'm using BB phone or a non-BB phone, regular surfing or youtube or tethering... its all diginet. Thanks notworthy.gif

This thread should be closed, since it is no longer relevant. Now all new DG Smart Plan starts with the RM68 plan for unlimited browsing and tethering (phone as modem). Those who registered earlier with DG Smart Plan RM58 can still maintain their Plan or upgrade to RM68 without any additional fees or penalties (T&C applies as per DiGi's Website).

True because the same plan is compatible for BB or non-BB phones. With an exception being you need Digi to send the service books to your BB phone. This happened to me. I couldn't have access to data because I used my own BB phone and I'm not aware of BB infrastructures like requiring service books.

Digi is not pro-active at all, how to beat MAXIS????

Upgrade plan need to wait 3 months

Terminate broadband need to pay a whole month fee 1st before can terminate and then ask for refund although i am using auto debit. It is worst than income tax
3 months already still cannot get back my refund, this is nuts

ROAMING, need to use for 6 months only can use roaming, if not have to pay deposit RM300.00 Like that all business ppl can move away from DIGI.
I have auto debit, why you so scare i run away?????this is nuts.

WAKE UP yellow man..!!!!!!

Ok just to share with you about the roaming requirements. I just MNP-ed from Maxis and I was having the same problem with the Digi personnel over the phone. I had to wait 6 months or pay RM300 deposit (non-deductible for monthly bills but refundable when I terminate the service).

Then I head over to Digi Center in Pavilion and to inquire about the issue. The personnel told me there's an alternative way. Produce a mobilephone service bill detailing my roaming activities within the past 1 year and proof of payment. They will use that as support document to grant roaming. I guess different people or different Digi Center may have their own jurisdiction or say. Not consistent though.

OK just to confirm that I already activated my roaming service without paying anything. I only need to produce proof of statement from my previous telco showing my roaming activities and proof of payment. Then the Digi personnel will photostat my ID card on it and process application. Service activation is within 24 hours. You can go to any Digi outlets like in Midvalley, Pavilion, Times Square (the ones with counters).

BB data usage when roaming is RM36/day (selected countries apply) and the usage is unlimited but subjected to FUP.
