for me 500 upfront payment is fine, because it's deducted on your bill until it's finish. unless out of nowhere, they have to charge it without concrete reason.
compare with other provider that bulk the price. they plus this and that until you lost count which is which. must buy also voice, bla bla bla. add this if you want this, add that if you want that. while digi is very straight forward. RM68 monthly unlimited data includes BIS, if you make calls, 15 sen/min, sms 10 sen/min. your 500 is for your advance payment bill. which will make you no need to pay anything for around 8 months if you purely using Data. that's it.
before i came to Digi, i considered using Maxis and Celcom first. but the way they advertise their package a lil bit confusing. maxis all in one payment looks really expensive while i cant really understand what's inside the bulk package. while celcom, must add voice plan or something which increase the bill more.
so you still saying Digi crap or half truths?
you dont understand bro..
take this scenario..
ima student.. i read the website..
did my homework thoroughly..
nobody told me about the rm500 upfront unless i asked.
and nobody will tell me out of the blue..
i budgeted just nice for the plan and phone...
im a student.. where on earth do you want me to get the rm500 extra?
i know it will be deducted from your next 7 mths or so usage..
but so what.. the student gets there with around rm1500 in hand..
just to find out he needs to fork out rm500 extra...
you know how bad that situation is for the kid?
further to that...
they did not mention about the rm500 upfront on the website..
and let me stress this..
not even on the fine prints..
if that is not half truths.. then i dont know what is..
don't even start comparing with maxis and celcom...
but for one.. maxis did include everything in whole including the upfront rm300 (or so)
celcom.. i didnt even check lol..
im not saying that digi's services are crap..
its fine and dandy.. i love the speed..
what i dont like is their half truths..
and their inability to serve their customers properly at their digi centres..
can you imagine?
4 centres.. all packed like sardine..
numbers queuing all the way till ppl have to wait for at least 1.5hrs..
good that business is looking good..
but shouldnt digi do something like set up extra counters extra man power?
idk about you..
but simple things like this influences me
Added on July 29, 2010, 11:20 amoh.. i forgot to mention..
even after waiting for 1.5 hrs..
when its finally my turn.. they tell me
sorry no stock..
AFTER i've inquired and told them
"i would love to get this now, do you accept debit card?"
wow.. brilliant eh?
---------------
suggestion 1 would be setting a counter which prioritize for BB plans + phones
and when there is nobody.. then that counter will divert to 3GS
however if there is blackberry customer. that counter should divert back to BB as a priority
just 1 counter would be enough.. cuz i know every telco pushing 3GS like mad...
anyway i wonder if there are any DiGi staffs in this forum =_=
