Based on that reason, go to maxis directly & settle everything directly & get a release letter. Fax it to DiGi & it should be able to convert. It got rejected. QUOTE(DemonTweakZ @ Apr 9 2010, 10:27 AM) I am not sure but if I am not mistaken it will be the RRP - the discount price you bought the phone divide with contract e.g. 12 months, times remaining months in contract + RM100 or RM200 admin fee.Yes, speed will be throttled down once you have reached 3GB bandwidth. |

What! That's some serious math going on there. Yes, speed will be throttled down once you have reached 3GB bandwidth. Oh, so they throttle la, but 3GB is quite a lot of data to use up in a month. Digi resets the used amount every month rite? |

Hi Friends, Searched and found this thread instead of starting new one. 1. Am using Bold 9700 with Digi BIS58. During 1st few months, I could tether using BBM 5.0.1 thru USB. Set the APN to diginet under BBM settings. I was more than happy to PPU at 10c per 10kb. Digi BIS is one of the best, with 120-58 or 88-58, I had spare cash for that emergency tethering, plug USB & hit connect under BBM, used it a few times a mth. 2. Recently this feature is disabled. BBM 5.0 will show error when connecting. Have tried all APN's of 3gdgnet, digistrm, blackberry.net etc etc all don't work. Tested against a normal Celcom SIM and it works. 3. Called Digi, they said, "Owing to too many users wrongly putting in Diginet into their BB TCP/IP, then get charged PPU and they dispute. Hence Digi has totally disabled this feature." 4. Can friends here pls verify if your BBM5.0.1 or later can still tether under diginet or 3gdgnet (these two are the latest APNs). Reason I need to use if for emergency purpose, caught in some odd place need to send out bigger emails from laptop. I am only too happy to pay 10c/10kb, but problem is they disabled the entire thing. Called Digi to specially enable it for me but they said no. But forumers here are still saying this is possible. Thank you for all the feedback on this. Peter |

Hye there, it's about 10 days since I'm register for Smartplan. Can someone share their experience with the billing things with me. Below are my situation:-
*Get my BB 8520 from LowYat promo. Paid RM549 for BB + RM500 upfront payment for 2 years contract. 1) I've already registered with DiGi OCS and view my bill online. For the 1st month I got billing amount of RM3.74 (monthly fixed charge) + RM0.19(Service Tax) = RM3.93 (Total amt). Is my bill seems ok? As I know for the promo we will get FREE for the 1st month bill. Anyone can clarify this? 2) I pay RM500 upfront payment for the BB promo, but my bill didn,t show that amount. Anyone have the same issues? Should be RM500 (upfront payment) - RM3.93 (current charge) = RM -496.07 (Total amount left). Rite? Appreciate any feedback/comment from fellow friends. Thanks. Anyway, BB Rocks. |

im not believe at the up front payment. sometimes the booth guy just want quick money, so they said u need to pay upfront. if look at the website most telco said u just pay a sum of phone price+advance 1 month bill payment that's all. so for you, should be only rm549+58 only.
better call back the telco to clarify on this matter. This post has been edited by calmshot: Apr 11 2010, 12:53 AM |

DG Smartplan = BIS (surfing+youtube+googling+IM+email) - Yes cover everything. But bear in mind, no tethering allowed or you will be charged PAYU. For youtube set APN to 'digistrm'.

The upfront money is necessary for the Telcos because you're signing a 2 year contract. There are ppl out there who sign on a 2 year contract just to get a cheaper price for the phone and immediately change the sim and use their previous telco. With this upfront payment, the user is forced to use the phone because of the advanced payment. better call back the telco to clarify on this matter. @CaEsAr HaIrI Check your digi bill. If you paid RM500 upfront, your balance should be -490+ just like mine. I did the same and my bill is -400+ so I don't have to pay my bills till my "credit" is used up. |
