Like to get "confirmation" on BIS issue on DIGI while roaming (outside malaysia )

I would like to "consider" signing this BIS services with DIGI...

anyone  care to comment ... what if  I am on roaming  does this BIS  unlimited apply .. for this case ...??

Hi Guys/Gals,

Just to confirm a certain facts concerning Digi Blackberry Unlimited Smartplan ("the Plan").

Background
Signed up for the Plan on 12 Jan 10.  Been a happy BB user since then.  However, was surprised to note there's RM5++ charges billed for GPRS data usage with description "diginet".  I recalled I was surfing Youtube at the time the charges was billed.  So I proceeded to D'chat (today) and managed to catch one of their consultants.

Summary
I was informed that any streaming via the Plan would be charged on a Pay-As-You-Use basis.  Despite the fact that the Plan is an "Unlimited" plan, any streaming, including but not limited to Youtube would be charged.  The consultant confirmed that the "Unlimited" is meant for "Unlimited BIS Service" only.  Is Youtube not part of Internet?  I was both furious and disappointed to learn of this.  Can someone confirm this/help to corss check with DIGI?

do i everytime need to set the apn to blackberry.net for normal usage & change back to digistrm for youtube ?? wat if i leave it blank??

So i was wrong. I thought I will only get discount if my CALL USAGE reach RM100! So, according to domokun, if usage call rm50 plus DG BIS = RM100 then i will get 25% discount???

I only go to options>advanced> tcp ip >

APN Setting enabled.

APN authentication enabled.

password

i don see an area to set the digistrm..?

i got this reply from DiGi_Telco twitter "Once u change the settings to digistrm it will be charged RM 0.10 per 10 KB. If maintain blackberry.net settings, it will be unlimited"

so how ah?

so yes or no if we use APN other than blackberry.net we will be charge PAYU

I have already set digistrm in my APN settings, however when i go to Youtube using the Blackberry Browser it ask me, do you want to stream in WAP. Any ideas?

it is quite frustrated that digi cannot give a consistent answer regarding this issue.. some CS say will be charged as PAYU and some say won't.. i believe this is one of the frequently asked questions and digi CS should be aware about it

just wonder , if my bb act as modem , connect to the modem ..will it b charges..

cos i really like surf net using my bb device .....but if connect to letop...they will charger us 10cent per 10 kb ..

You can YouTube for free under the digistrm APN, but yeah the tethering has a PAYU charge at the moment... but still without tethering is HALF the price of the other telcos. 
For fixing BB - I believe digi practice is always 1 for 1 swap so you shouldn't have that problem with inconvenience.
