Like to get "confirmation" on BIS issue on DIGI while roaming (outside malaysia )

I would like to "consider" signing this BIS services with DIGI...

anyone  care to comment ... what if  I am on roaming  does this BIS  unlimited apply .. for this case ...??

thanks

Roaming is subjective. Therefore, you'll have to check with TELCO about the charges. It differs for various countries.

BIS Unlimited only applies in Malaysia.

Hi Guys/Gals,

Just to confirm a certain facts concerning Digi Blackberry Unlimited Smartplan ("the Plan").

Background
Signed up for the Plan on 12 Jan 10.  Been a happy BB user since then.  However, was surprised to note there's RM5++ charges billed for GPRS data usage with description "diginet".  I recalled I was surfing Youtube at the time the charges was billed.  So I proceeded to D'chat (today) and managed to catch one of their consultants.

Summary
I was informed that any streaming via the Plan would be charged on a Pay-As-You-Use basis.  Despite the fact that the Plan is an "Unlimited" plan, any streaming, including but not limited to Youtube would be charged.  The consultant confirmed that the "Unlimited" is meant for "Unlimited BIS Service" only.  Is Youtube not part of Internet?  I was both furious and disappointed to learn of this.  Can someone confirm this/help to corss check with DIGI?

Regards,

f3nix

Added on January 16, 2010, 1:46 pmTo add onto my post above, i reconfirmed with another consultant via D'chat.  He confirmed any streaming/Youtube via Blackberry through the Plan would be charged separately i.e. Pay-As-You-Use.

Anyone?

You got charged RM500plus plus or RM5 plus plus? wink.gif

Guys Guys Guys!!!

So i was wrong. I thought I will only get discount if my CALL USAGE reach RM100! So, according to domokun, if usage call rm50 plus DG BIS = RM100 then i will get 25% discount???
*
I am only on DG BIS Unlimited plan w/o any CALL 50 or whatever brows.gif ...it applies to all! Their T&C is straight forward

The discounts starts from your total bill but only rebate on DIGI BIS RM58 (-25%)

it is quite frustrated that digi cannot give a consistent answer regarding this issue.. some CS say will be charged as PAYU and some say won't.. i believe this is one of the frequently asked questions and digi CS should be aware about it
*
Yes, lets wait n see what they gonna say on their website for clarification!

With this kinda rate, you'll end up paying like a hundred bucks for surfing an hour or so..so better just head to cybercafe or just get an usb broadband lah!

The main reason Blackberry existed was beacuse of push mail. Surfing still can lah..but surfing on our tiny 2-3inches screen aint fun!

I carry a lappie, usb broadband & of coz my beloved BB wherever I go! brows.gif

You can YouTube for free under the digistrm APN, but yeah the tethering has a PAYU charge at the moment... but still without tethering is HALF the price of the other telcos.
For fixing BB - I believe digi practice is always 1 for 1 swap so you shouldn't have that problem with inconvenience.
*
Ive always believed in Digi, they've never let me down eventho if theres problems occurs here & there. But problems sure will arise, without problems we'll never improve! But one thing I loved about Digi is, they call u back for follow-ups or a couple of days later to check on how ur doing...other telcos never practise this.

Whatever excessive charges will normally be waived provided if its genuine cases!

Yes, with this Digi BIS Unlimited 58..its ok if we cant tether, its already super-low priced! Like I always said - If u wanna carry ur lappie around, just get an usb broadband! laugh.gif
