rules of thumb, always go to the branch to register, etc, NOT the dealers. Same goes for Celcom n Maxis.
As for the digistrm APN, lets wait for your bill to come, no need to argue. Btw i wish that Digi BIS allows tethering for the rm58 plan, just like other telcos. currently its not cheap if only for BB to online |

I think the rate is affordable. Say if you use the BIS plan for RM58, and get digi broadband for another RM58, its only RM116 compared to Maxis's BIS plan for RM120. The + point to not use ur BB for thetering is that u will prolong ur bb's lifespan, and at the same time, its more convenient too as the broadband usb modem is plug and play (without any settings required, and ultimately, no wires!!)
*rates mentioned for BIS services above are for unlimited data package. |

Thinking of cancelling Celcom Wireless BB. |

Try Digi USB Broadband...quite stable tho..but once I was in 12th floor, it kept disconnecting! Whereby at my own room @ 9th floor was flawless! Theres some explanation to this due to underground broadband line..etc etc etc! Rules #18.
Using the BlackBerry device to provide Internet access for another device which is otherwise unconnected, using the BlackBerry device as a modem (known as tethering) or using the SIM card on non-BlackBerry devices will subject the user to be charged based on Pay-As-You-Use rate of 10sen per 10kb. |

@Hi Cheewooi.
As far as I understand from your unbill activity. You were being charged for blackberry.net on 12 - 13 January which is the day your BB service got some issue and it is not being activated yet. and from your last post regarding your activation of BIS QUOTE cheewooi Posted Yesterday, 04:36 PM QUOTE(petepix @ Jan 14 2010, 10:50 AM) lets be realistic we normally change phones like every 2 years... so how long would u want ur BB to last? * Yeah at some point I do agree with you. Thinking of cancelling Celcom Wireless BB. That means your BIS was activated yesterday which is 14 January. From the unbill record we can see that you were being charge PAYU because your APN is set to diginet(maybe) and not blackberry.net My suggestion is:- Change APN setting to blackberry.net now.... do some heavy browsing. after 1 hour check the unbilled transaction. If still being charged, you go bising kaw kaw to their CS..her her her... and regarding the previous charged.. I think u still kaw tim with them to waive the charge in next billed. |

Hi Guys/Gals,
Just to confirm a certain facts concerning Digi Blackberry Unlimited Smartplan ("the Plan"). Background Signed up for the Plan on 12 Jan 10. Been a happy BB user since then. However, was surprised to note there's RM5++ charges billed for GPRS data usage with description "diginet". I recalled I was surfing Youtube at the time the charges was billed. So I proceeded to D'chat (today) and managed to catch one of their consultants. Summary I was informed that any streaming via the Plan would be charged on a Pay-As-You-Use basis. Despite the fact that the Plan is an "Unlimited" plan, any streaming, including but not limited to Youtube would be charged. The consultant confirmed that the "Unlimited" is meant for "Unlimited BIS Service" only. Is Youtube not part of Internet? I was both furious and disappointed to learn of this. Can someone confirm this/help to corss check with DIGI? Regards, f3nix Added on January 16, 2010, 1:46 pmTo add onto my post above, i reconfirmed with another consultant via D'chat. He confirmed any streaming/Youtube via Blackberry through the Plan would be charged separately i.e. Pay-As-You-Use. Anyone? This post has been edited by f3nix85: Jan 16 2010, 01:46 PM |

QUOTE(f3nix85 @ Jan 16 2010, 01:36 PM) Hi Guys/Gals, First, You DONT NEED to create another similar thread on this DG Smart Plan. We already got 1 thread almost identical title.Just to confirm a certain facts concerning Digi Blackberry Unlimited Smartplan ("the Plan"). Background Signed up for the Plan on 12 Jan 10. Anyone? 2nd, there are already many discussion on that thread that say as long as you using your bb to stream youtube and NOT use you BB to "tethering", you will not be charge. We already confirm it over and over again to digi from many member. There is some mistake when they create/setup your account What you had to do now: 1) Recheck your APN setting. Use "blackberry.net" for normal usage. Use "digistrm" for youtube streaming. 2) Lodge a complain to digi officially. Tell them they are overcharging you. 3) Once they agree to waive the charges. Save the conversation or proof for future reference. 4) Most important thing: PM a Forum moderator and ask him to merge your thread to the existing one. Added on January 16, 2010, 1:56 pmThis is the existing thread: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1231768 This post has been edited by mikelanding: Jan 16 2010, 01:56 PM |

Hi Mike,
Thanks! However, you may note that all those"confirmation" were everywhere in the forum and not objectively displayed. Hence, i created this post hoping for someone like yourself will bump into it and clarify things once and for all. Will get moderator to combine it with the other related post. Regards |
