The purpose of this TV is for my mum(couch potato) to watch her favorite dramas... So the graphic is the important thing here.
If I were to buy a new one, my budget would be around 1.5K(32"). Which brand/model should I opt for ?
What's her favourite dramas? Honestly, if its those TVB downloads or WLT Astro, the older folks might not get used to the 16:9 aspect ratio which LCD TVs come in. And of course, much has been said about Astro's PQ on LCDs. Get back another CRT, this will save you even more $ than any power savings mumbo-jumbo on a LCD.
