Guys I need some opinions since I do not have knowledge in such thing at all My 10 years old 29" Samsung CRT TV has broken down finally... it becomes black and white now.

I have two choices now:

1) Ask lorry to carry another 10 years old 25" CRT TV from my relative which he'd like to give it out. Need to pay for transportation fees though.
2) Get a new TV.

Here comes the struggle. Obviously I'd need to pay for the new TV but I heard that LCD TV saves up a lot of power (3x lower than CRT?) so that probably compensate the price of the LCD TV over years since my family uses the TV up to 10 hours per day.

The purpose of this TV is for my mum(couch potato) to watch her favorite dramas... So the graphic is the important thing here.

If I were to buy a new one, my budget would be around 1.5K(32"). Which brand/model should I opt for ?
