U wont get a perfect car la.
Those merc, bms, audi or what ever exp car also have some problems.
If u say that our car is slow, people who buy bmw 318 also will say their car is slow maybe due to power-to-weight ratio.
I just hoping that proton can improve on their build quality.
For me the engine itself quite good already. Drive by wire delay actually can be reduce. If u drive a neo cps, u will know the different
Unless u're still not satisfy with that

like i mentioned earlier even the famous toyota is not perfect...in fact even worse....

Better get the OEM CPS HID parts and get it fitted at SC. I think regulation only allows for factory fitted HID not the aftermarket ones. Play safe.

QUOTE(kobe10 @ Feb 5 2010, 12:23 AM)
Went from 1k service today.. Puchong Jaya Service centre.. Appoinment is 10.30.. I tunggu tunggu sampu 1.30.. The car still park outside.I duduk kat sana macam ikan masin.. WTF is wrong with PROTON!!Somemore tell me oh hari ini banyak kereta ma. My whole morning habis. Then i tell them Tak payahlah, bagi kunci balik. I went to old klang road SC, finish in 45 minutes.Change engine oil 10-40w, oil filter, MT fluid + labour. Why need to plus labour?Because STUPID people in PUCHONG JAYA SC never give me back my coupon. So whole day gone just to bring my baby CPS for service. If not for the warranty, i can finish all this noncense in 20 minutes.
*
been there thrice before.... 1st time wait like an idiot with no one updating me with anything.... 2nd and 3rd time, went to IOI Mall to watch movie (lepak at Starbucks eyeing for nice looking chicks) and ask the SC to call me when there are done.

But now, service outside since mileage already over 60k. I'm planning to buy some tools in no so distant future, so that i can change simple things at home...

My advice is don't simply quick to blame PROTON, other maker's SC is also the same...

I'd like to give one simple analogy to the SC scenario..... it's like going to government clinics... no matter how early your appointment is, it will still end up late if many people came... that is why some prefer to go to private clinics... it is the matter of choice...

so my friend, the only way to curb your frustation is to press the pedal to the metal.... and rev to red line... smile.gif

dun like tht la.....u also sepang track driven guy wat....hahhaha...1.6 blm is quite powerful u know..u b surprise it still can drag along with cps..
*
it's simple ..... power-to-weight ratio.... the blm is lighter than our waja (especially when fitted with certain super subwoofer tongue.gif )...
imagine if BLM is fitted with CPS... beware vtec....hahahahaha

p/s: u drove in sepang like nobody's business.... me on the other hand drove slk (slow like kancil).... not the same maaaaaaa....

QUOTE(chipotato @ Feb 5 2010, 11:29 PM)
just want to know.. what is the meaning if blue light indicator on from the pic..? i think its not for high beam..
*
that blue colour indicate the engine is not warm up yet.... its a measure to protect the engine, transmission, etc... if you drive hard, u would feel sudden jerk when shifting to 2nd gear...

QUOTE(jctasoga @ Feb 5 2010, 11:54 PM)
engine cold. CPS unable to engaged for time being. it will be there for a few seconds when you first start your car. during morning warm ups, it may take a few minutes.

to have a more precise manual readout, please ask ahpaul82.. wink.gif
*
yes, our chief in charge of cps manual... mr ahpaul82.... rclxms.gif
i think we can engage CPS, since if revving high it will still click...

come to think about it .... so far we have...

QUOTE(Silon @ Feb 6 2010, 04:26 AM)
i tried the syntium 5000 0W-30 for my 25000km service, was using the syntium 800 10W-30 before this. the engine seems to sound slightly different, it doesnt sound as boomy as before though, and acceleration is somewhat easier thumbup.gif

im just curious if anyone has experienced difficulty in starting the car? like needing to crank it a little longer than usual [e.g. chek hek hek hek hek hek hek hek hek] once in a while?
*
yes.... it does happen occassionally.... at first i thought something when wrong with the car, but later i notice it only happen about once on twice a month...

so i think its not a bad thing... maybe some minor glitch with ecu that happen after certain mileage..

QUOTE(RAY36 @ Feb 7 2010, 04:49 PM)
The rim of my gen2 cps always gets dirty and oily.
Is there any leaking? Is it brake fluid leaking ? icon_question.gif
*
QUOTE(sphiroth @ Feb 7 2010, 05:10 PM)
Its the brake pad dust. nod.gif
*
yup its the brake pad dust / residue... standard oem produce too much dust... upgrade to performance brake pad... nod.gif

How to check if brake fluid is leaking?

1. Visual check, you can check the each brake (pump) if it is oily/wet
2. Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir. The level must be between "MAX" and "MIN" marks on the reservoir. Should the brake fluid falls below "MIN" rapidly, it indicates leaks the brake system....

This applies as well to transmission, power steering, clutch and also engine oil...
