I've been searching for lighting for my home-to-be. No plaster ceiling, only cornice. I am looking for 2 ceiling lights to install between ceiling fan.

I saw a very nice light just now, combination of LED and Halogen with 3 modes; Halogen ONLY, LED ONLY, Halogen + LED

The shops i went to give me conflicting information. If I made Halagon my main light in Living room, will it last long? Some say I can open 4 hours continues ONLY, some say 6 to 8 hours, while some say no problem, whole day also wont burnt. Can someone enlighten me?

On top of that, is LED light easily burnt? Because according to the shop, once one of it burnt, the whole LED will not light which i think is right if I remember correctly during my schooling day.

Sounds like bad maintenance, smartest choice is energy saving but I just like this light... icon_question.gif

What about Halogen? Can I treat is as normal light and open as per normal ie whole night etc? It will be my main light in living room
