wow the sony ht-ct150 looks n sounds good to me
but at 999... isnt it more worth it to get a 5.1 dvd system?
*
not really... The rm1k to rm1.5k DVD 5.1 hom theater system all have limited input option for other things like ps3 or xbox so you are limited to DVD for the 5.1 sound. Besides, having a small room limit our choices as well.

I have decided not to get the Sony sf470 which I think is too big for my 8ft x 10ft gaming room. I think I'm gonna order the ct150 tomorrow.

You can buy at Sony Style The Curve or KLCC...I reckon they have ready stock there.

You can call Sony call centre to check which store have ready stock 1-300-88-1233
I'm not from KL... and you know what our Sony Center told me when I want to place order? They said this CT150 sound bar is only exclusive for Sony Styles, Sony Centers are not allowed to sell it! I was like "WTF are you talking about??"... sigh... anyone can advice me? Tomorrow I'm going to try other Sony Center.

PS: I'm from Kuching and the home theater selection here is SUCKS!

Just order the Sony ht-ct150 through Sony call center. After deducted my Sony style point the sound bar cost me rm939. Bad thing is that it is going to take 3 to 4 weeks to deliver... They can't courier the thing due to the box size so have to use normal shipping. Can't wait to receive it.

Sigh... I think I'm having problem with my ht-ct150. I plugged the system into an extension plug and the plug will have some buzzing sound. I need to switch on and switch off to cancel out the noise... Do I need to send my unit back for warranty? Or is my extension plug having problem?

Not that I don't want to use sperate power point but my room only have one usable power point in my room. Anyone can help?

Don't use the extension plug first. Plug into the wall outlet and see if the buzzing sound is still there.  If not, then most likely is the extension plug problem.

So far it is acting okay now. I'm gonna monitor it a few more days though... hopes everything is okay... sad.gif

here are the mini reviews I have posted in AVR forum.

Well, as promised, I'm gonna give a different perspective of view for CT150 from YOTR. My perspective is from a guy who has never own a proper home theater setup nor a soundbar before. I have been using cheap PC speakers and TV sound for the past few years for gaming and movie watching. Pardon my lousy English...

Well, first impression from this soundbar is that the voice clarity is clearly a step above my TV sound and the SW is rocking my small 10ft x 8ft entertainment room with volume set to 20+. However, the SW is clearly still not up to my expectation which I would expect after reading all the praises in this thread though... somehow I think it still lacks the punch for some quieter scenes in movie(Blu-Ray). I find that the sound is a bit too quiet during some non action scenes and I don't hear much of the background noise in the movie.

Gaming wise, the sound is OKAY for my Xbox 360 (Transformers: War of Cybertron) which I think maybe due to the compressed source. Nothing spectacular but still is a pretty big improvement from TV sound. For PS3 is another different story, everything sound great with their DTS sound. I have not tested the MGS4 which claim to have lossless audio but God of War 3 has never sound this sweet. Bass and SW is pretty powerful and everything sound clear.

I will report back after another day or two of blasting with higher volume. My wife has specifically restrict me not to set the volume too high though... so all the above testing are limited to volume below 20. The CT150 is a great system with this price and overall it is pretty solid and great performers.
