Ive been wearimg glasses for almost 20++ years, i would rekcond u guys to find a good frame, either its branded or non branded but make sure:
1. It is not too tight or too small or too big for ur head. Too small resulting too much gripping and tends to hurt when u wearing for a long period. Too big means there's not much gripping and tends to fall easily.
2. Go for the spring attached frames. It'll grip better and wont go loose when ure sweating, esp. When using plastic frames.
3. This is from my personal experience so any thoughts are welcomed. If can, dont go for plastic lens. Ive been using plastic lens for about 12 years and every year my lens power seems to increased. Was advise to use glasses lens and since then there's minimum increase in myy lens power.

Hope this will at least help u in choosing a good glasses for a long run.

same here. i got the oakley crosslink fit and honestly i dont like the lens placement. they did say it'll gonna be a bit blurry but man it is really blurry. the side are a bit curvy so it gets a tad blurry and im having hard time looking at finer things. gives me a bit of headache too.

but one thing for sure, i dont have that annoying slip everytime i have to work on something (ie.: fixing my bikes/cars or things thats gonna be sweaty...)

ic.

i think ur frame is more curve right? if that's the case, u need to actually opt for aspheric or double aspheric design of lenses or even the freeform (customized) lenses. traditonal stock spheric lenses do not suit that kind of curve frame.

initially i chose a oakley frame which is very curve, the sales lady also told me to choose the special lenses to fit. but in the end i actually bought another oakley frame elsewhere with the design i like more. and it is actually more flat instead of curve. but i am using freeform lenses, so actually no issues even if i am to choose frames that are more curve.

ur frame does not come with interchangeable nose pad? if yes, actually it should fit well since you can change to the size that matches your face.

its a curvy one, but for my budget i have to go what i had. my lens arent so cheap (even the cheapest cost me almost the same as the frame) and it could cost me more than rm2k just for the lens if im too picky about it lol.

yeap it comes with the right and left thingie side frames(?) with interchangeable nose pads. im using the thick one right now and it'll do the job.

personally this glasses is more towards doing physical things such as wrenching, exercising and stuff. i still got a good ol prescription rayban glasses and a perscripton rayban sunglasses to compensate it. so no worries

Yeah lenses can be expensive. My lense alone is rm1300 which is Hoya Remark Trueform sensitivity with blue control.

Good that you have a spare.

I am actually regret not to buy a driving lenses from zeiss which I always find driving at night sometimes the incoming lights can be distracting which the lenses may help.

Well, good thing is ur eyesight is not as bad as me, the worse the eyesight, the more you going have to pay for it.

Have you seen other premium Japanese handmade eyewear brand? Which brand?

No doubt, Masunaga is a popular brand among others and can be found easily in most optical store nowadays.

How to buy cheap frames and use the lenses from old frame given that they will fit in?

I only know the width size of my lenses from the numbers printed on my current frame, and the frame shape.

Let's say my lens shape is wayfarer with 51mm width and 39mm height, can I match my lens with a frame which supports the exact specifications? Eg, Brand A frame has wayfarer lens shape, 51mm width and 39mm height; Brand B frame is the same. However, the cuttings for the lens might still be different given same height, width and shape, am i right?

if slightly bigger they can shave it for u. but if its smaller or the shape is too different... then nothing can be done.

i did mine last time. the fitment was okay. the only part is where do u find shop that are willing to do it? well that u need to find for urself lah.
