Have you seen other premium Japanese handmade eyewear brand? Which brand?

No doubt, Masunaga is a popular brand among others and can be found easily in most optical store nowadays.

I think they either change cases time to time or use diff cases for diff frames. Mine was a brown color case with a more slim curved design rather than your typical box design. Got it Dec last year

Hope that the case for them to change cases time to time. Cause did look around those selling the same frame online have shown a different cases from what I saw it at mine optometry. I’ve no issue to get a different cases, but the cases for my frame had peel off and look like used product. Will definitely feel angry if one spend thousand on a frame but get a used product...

disappointed with hoya lenses. will never buy them again. super easy to attract dirts, hard to keep it clean for clear vision.

will certainly go for zeiss for the next one.

*I suspect my lens are not authentic because it shows "invalid order number" when I enter the order number on hoya authenticity verification page.

How to buy cheap frames and use the lenses from old frame given that they will fit in?

I only know the width size of my lenses from the numbers printed on my current frame, and the frame shape.

Let's say my lens shape is wayfarer with 51mm width and 39mm height, can I match my lens with a frame which supports the exact specifications? Eg, Brand A frame has wayfarer lens shape, 51mm width and 39mm height; Brand B frame is the same. However, the cuttings for the lens might still be different given same height, width and shape, am i right?

if slightly bigger they can shave it for u. but if its smaller or the shape is too different... then nothing can be done.

i did mine last time. the fitment was okay. the only part is where do u find shop that are willing to do it? well that u need to find for urself lah.

Awww, I guess i will keep wearing the current frame then cuz so much hassle. Thought can use cheap frame and don't have to worry if the frame bends/breaks/out of shape if i wear like an idiot.
