Anyway, its will be no different... Both the shop and sony will provide 1 year warranty

There are 2 type of PS3

Overseas PS3 (SG or HK set)
Or Local PS3 (MY)

Malaysia set if buy from shop or sony center no matter what you still can claim from sony center.

Oversea set (SG or HK) is only sold in shops. Its RM200 cheaper then local set and the warranty is only covered by the shop. I hope this helps. But my experience is to get the cheaper one. Cause the only thing that can happen to your PS3 is rather YLOD or Lens gone. Both these problems are not covered in warranty. Correct me if im wrong. So basically PS3 warranty is like a piece of dip S*** paper. Thanks all.
