Heart transplant + new coat of paint

Initially wanted to change to red but the transplant cost more then budgeted so still back with old colour, just respray new layer.

The transplant was quoted RM2.6k but ended up RM4.9k At 1st could not believe RM2.6k (incl. engine kosong) can do transplant and confirmed with the w/s several times.

At RM5k better get 1/2 cut + manual gearbox

My initial options were:

D&D in Sunway got a manual BB1 for RM4+++, if u ayat power mayb can get RM3.8k? Poreman fees + spareparts probably RM3k = RM7.5k was my estimate for transplant used engine + manual;

Overhaul + PnP + engine rebalance + valve reangle (wat is this??) = RM7k (use back old engine and AT)

Transplant engine only = RM2.6k + repairs end up RM4.9k

But there was quite alot of repairs-la - change radiator, steering rack, 3 belts + bearings.

After I reload my wallet probably get e-manage blue installed (RM1,350?) and thinking of hi-cams (regrind = RM1.5k?)

yalo, i also estimated 7k for engine transplant.

4.5k for halfcut, then the rest for wear and tear + repair a bit.

Haih, for me.... Money is not an issue, but the issue is no Money

last money my auto gb kong d, then i spent 1 week to look for manual conversion kit and halfcut, conversion kit tak dapat, but halfcut 5k.......if everything done i think need around 8k.

then after some consideration, i pick auto gearbox.
cheap and fastest method coz i need to use the car for work. ><

I see from Mudah you have the 5 units of console (dashboard) for prelude.

My fuel and temp. gauge died already so need to replace. Can give good price or not? How to deal when u r in Penang while I'm in KL?

wanna ask.. for those who drove prelude 2nd gen 1.8l or 2.0l, how was the fuel consumption for manual trans? able to reach 10-13km/l? going to buy one 2nd gen prelude but afraid of suffering the higher fc than my corona 1.8l auto 3trans LOL...
