Online gaming, I prefer to play it on PSN rather than XBOX LIVE. No point paying for LIVE service when you can get free online play via PSN.
No doubt, the XBOX360 is technological a step back compared to PS3. I own both of them & I can really feel the XBOX360 is just inferior. If it's not because of some proprietory JRPG being launch for XBOX360, I wouldn't bother getting it.

QUOTE(thurtin @ Nov 26 2009, 09:58 AM) do pray tell how is the 360 inferior to the PS3. i'm really curious to know how. Isn't it obvious??? DVD ROM instead of BD ROM No built in WIFI Small HDD capacity Uses AA battery to power up the controller No optical out (Older amplifier needs optical cable to decode AC3/DTS) Swapping discs There are the few main points. Don't forget you'll have to pay to subcribe to LIVE!!

wcliang,
You need a Component cable to enable optical output. (Mine is Jasper, I have no idea how those older revision looks like).
Ask yourself, what if you want to use HDMI cable for video output & optical out for audio output (to connect it to an AVR that has only optical input).
You can't use both unless the strip open the Component cable which really make things look messy. It can be done buy it does look awful with those component cables dangling here & there. Another way is to get a HDMI cable with optical output from Microsoft & that will cost you a bomb.
