Got a good offer for the 2008 KLV-46Z450A since the 2009 Z series has come out. At the same time had a good look at the 2009 KLV-46W550. Price wise not much difference between the two. Now undecided, should i go for the 2008 200hz Z series or the 2009 100hz W series. Need some advise.

I'd recommend 2008 KLV-46Z450A.

The official price for 2008 KLV-46Z450A is RM9999 but the new KLV-46Z550 is RM8999.

How much are you paying? I'm interested in the 52" since Pana 50 V series will not be in malaysia after all the hooha..

Did a side by side PQ comparison between the two. The new 2009 W seen to have better PQ than the 2008 Z even though its has only 100hz motion flow as opposed to 200hz in the Z. I recon its due to new bravia 3 engine.

The motion flow rate is not that critical for me since i am running 24p HD content on the LCD most of the time.

The Z series is a high end model that used WCG-CCFL (Wide Color Gamut ) backlight with the Contrast ratio 100000:1 with Motionflow™ 200Hz (PAL)/240Hz (NTSC) and Live Colour Creation
while the W series only nomal CCFL light tube with Motionflow 100Hz (PAL)/120Hz (NTSC), how can it be better?
