Hello all, i have question regarding how to setup my wireless connection. I am currently subscribing streamyx and using TP-Link TD-W8901G to connect to the net. But i cant connect to the net by wireless, need to use the Lan cabel. I've restarted the router a few times but still not able to connect to the net.. How to solve this problem? thanks..

Solution [thanks to tvcat] ;

Reset router to factory setting,
log in router >> interface setup >> internet
VPI = 0
VCI = 35
ISP = PPP0A/PPPoE
username = username@streamyx
password = streamyxpassword
encapsulation = PPPoE LLC
bridge interface = deactivated
connection = always on
get ip address = dynamic

but, with the above setting i cant save the setup, and the error message will appear.

"FAIL TO UPDATE DUE TO... Duplicate to a VPI/VCI ! "

Previously i've restarted and reset the router for few times to ensure its reset to factory default, but still same error message appear..

try select the other pvc for the "virtual circuit" like pvc1
is the value of the vpi and vci change when you select a different value for "virtual circuit"?
if yes then try to change the "virtual circuit" value until the vpi = 0 and vci = 35
then try to save.

Ohh, what a waste you should have shared the settings here!

//Back on topic, were the router have any relation to the speed? I don't know much about this.. But if it does, thats good! maybe i can accelerate my connection speed. But as far as i used this router i think the speed have not much different from the prev one. so i assume that it have no different just that it has wifi.

i think what you can do is resetting the router to factory setting, which can be done by soft or hard reset. Then login to the router to apply the setting provided in previous page. As in my case, that is what i done to get my wireless function work, and it is still doing great until today! smile.gif
