today i encounter this wired scenario, i haven JB my phone yet but in the afternoon my phone went black and can turn it on..even i try to hold "sleep" and "home" button at the same time with no luck.

Then i wait awhile and press the "Sleep" button again and it works...so wired.
Anyone of u encounter this problem b4?

All electronic gadgets have certain idiosyncrasies. So long they can be 'revived' by your fiddling with them, it should be ok. You only press the panic button when nothing you do can wake the device unless of course it is a known malady in which case a remedy will probably be in place.

there are how many types of JB?
as i heard some are blackrain, redxx and what snow sth..
and who is doing JB? how much is it?

it won't work.
Apple has stopped signing 3.1.2 firmware files on their server.

Once you go up, you can't come down.

Why when i am free now plan to break 3.1.2 on my 3g iphone and they release 3.1.3? what a bad time..

I hoping redsnow can break 3.1.3, since blackrain have this problem cannot restart phone >.<''

There is some sites which you can download 3.1.2 ipsw file.
Save to the computer and restore from there.

3.1.3 isn't that much worth of an upgrade with only minor updates. wait till a major update such as 3.2.

i dont think so there will be 3.2 update...next is straight 4.0 and new iphone 4g release...

the day that i feared has finally came. i had to restore my phone due to it not being able to boot up, and i can't get my ECID signed by Saurik.

looks like i have to restore to 3.1.3

all my lockinfo etc etc gone......grrrrrr

why don't you try restore your phone to 3.1.2 on a 3Gs and see, it won't work.

we're still 4 months away from June. the possibilities are always there.

hope so bro....normally they dont..maybe the preview would be there...

I don't see a need for that restore because it will be a hassle for me to JB it again.

and the steps are definitely not that easy compared to what you are advocating just previously. Shift+Restore anyone?

just to state the obvious,
you need to modify the host files as well as having SHSH on cyida to successfully restore

its not and definitely not the same thing like what we can do previously by just entering into DFU mode and do the Shift+Restore thing. (which conveniently is what you were talking about just now.)
