well if you want to play it alone, it can be done, but then you start to get a bit bored and at one point you realize you need to do things with other people if you want better armor and stuff. One of my friends from US whom I invited to playing back WoW first stated he wants to play solo as he played it solo before but up to a certain level, but once he reached high end gaming bracket, he realized that he may need to join a guild and join other people either for dungeon (norm and heroic), raid and also pvp to get high end armor.
