It seem the update does not apply to 13" MacBook Pro, no?

my one does have sound but not that loud

i just installed the EFI 1.8 update. according to the instruction, im supposed to launch software update again to install the superdrive update thing. but somehow my software update won't launch anymore anyone got a clue?

when i launch it, the icon will bounce at the dock, n after a few seconds it will just sit there (right clicking tells me the app is not respoding). the app itself never launched. software update is listed in the force quit list (but no 'not responding'), but not in cmd+tab.

had this update when i just came back from school. hmm.. wonder wad isit?
when it restarts, it still have its squeeking sound.

After i update the Airport Client Update, my Airport signal become weak than before @_@
Because my router is at downstair, my room at upstair, usually can get 3-4 bar ~
But now keep stay on 2 bar only ~
I usually remote desktop to my windows pc and copy data from the pc thru network sharing, data transfer speed is slower than update before @_@
Should i feedback to apple @@?

guys, after the update i realise the squeeking sound really gone already. yay ^^

Still have the superdrive sound after update...

same.. still have the sound after the update..

it only applies for reboot, wake up and i forget the other one.
but it won't work for starup. i read it somewhere else.

I don't usually reboot my mac.. no wonder didn't notice it..

it doesnt eliminate the sound... but i think it's not as loud anymore..

the nice thing is i noticed my system doesnt lag as before when burning DVDs

i cant set my airport extreme dual band :/

guys, do you have problem reading CD after update?

nop but i feel the response/reading kinda slow.. takes time

it read DVD, most of the CD but not audio CD
why? why apple wanna kill my mac?

i was trying to rip 3 CDs for my mom juz now. only managed to rip 1, the other two was ejected a few seconds after i inserted them. both got minor scratch lah so i thought that was the problem (but they managed to play well on the radio though)

is this because of the update? my MBP likes to eject discs since i bought it ;p even my Applications DVD and ACPP dvd kena eject, never used one

all dvd and normal CD are ok for my mac

but audio cd! stupid apple!
