Are you guys really recommending Papago?
I am contemplating to buy one but I tried having a go on a friend's but the interface and the overall app seemed very laggy. Also did a route simulation and it was very laggy as well. It would constantly jerk and pause for a few seconds and sometimes skip. Even the voice is not in sync with the current position (during simulation).
It is on an iphone 3g with ios4, which i am guessing is the culprit.
Any of you guys having the same setup would like to share?

Test drove Papago on an iPhone 3g with ios4. I have to say that it is not really usable as the map draw rate can be slow at times. Half the time the arrow would be moving on empty ground. It would sometimes hang and skip a few metres and also take a while before recalculating a route after a wrong turn has been made.
Of course POIs on the other hand are the best around.
@romraka So no UI lagginess whatsoever? Also, does your tracked position come up to be accurate to your actual position?

QUOTE(tarvalslain87 @ Aug 13 2010, 08:58 PM) If I install Papago in my iphone 3G... Will it lag? Cause im scared iphone 3G quite outdated in terms of hardware and maybe the new version of papago is far more resource hogger... I posted a while back saying that Papago on a 3G is simply not usable for navigation. It lags in tracking and also has a slow map draw rate. It was running on iOS 4 so im not sure if it will be the case for all 3G phones.
