I just tested the Papago M7 pro and noticed a few bugs. During my first navigation, it suddenly exit from the program to ios4 home without any incoming call, sms or push notification. I dunno whether it's the iPhone or the GPS problem. Then I tried to switch off 3G, the problem seems to be solved.

Another thing is, when it shows the photo of a intersection on the left side of the screen (which was very nice BTW), the rest of the 3D map just sort of disappear and reappear after I pass the intersection. Is this suppose to be like this?

I guess the 3D map disappear cause too much thing to load at the same time, should be fine...

I tried out both papago M7.1 pro and tomtom,
papago works best, accurate routing, although it is not so accurate, just slow behind a little bit.
compare to tomtom, bring me to one way road,
make impossible turns where the is concrete block =.="
another thing is my tomtom got no voice navi, maybe it is *ah hem* copy...

tried papago new map just now,
they fixed the font problem, even more POI now,
map view are better now,
overall better...

Using experience wise,
1st time papago lead me into one way road, but no big deal, coz it is just taman road.
compare with tomtom, bring me to highway and ask me to u-turn =.="

I am in penang though, maybe can't compare user experience with those people in KL.

For those that always show at Jalan P.Ramlee.
All you need to do are as below:
1. At Main Menu > Select "Map View"
2. Select "Function"
3. Select "Current Location"

Make sure you at open air with faster satalite lock. After lock for first time, next time should be able to lock.
If you ever face it is always stick with a location which is not your current location, do as above.
During the searching of satelite and once satalite lock, there will be sound "Satelite searching" "Satalite lock".

For those non-jailbreak phone, my idea are as below: (not sure it works or not, try at own risk)
1. In iTunes library, Select "Apps" <--- not your phone apps, your iTunes apps
2. Choose papago, right click, delete and delete the ipa file as well.
3. Then your ipa file should went into your recycle bin.
4. Copy it out back to desktop.
5. Open 7-zip, open archieve.
6. Paste the new maps.
7. Add back the apps into your iTunes library.
8. Sync with your phone. Viola~

I'm looking for one also. My friend is using a 1A output car charger, but seems like it can't charge full when using GPS navigation.

I'm thinking if a 2A output (for iPads) will kill iPhone4 or not  hmm.gif

I guess not recommended,
the battery for ipad and iphone are different,
iphone one design to charge with max 1A,
while ipad with max 2A,
over current = over heat = easier to short circuit or burn your phone.

Change to:

0.0650sec    0.55    8 queries    GZIP Disabled
