u paid the lite version ?

it all depends on the user preference/taste.. some of em' like the papago style of navigation.. while most of the ex garmin user will prefer the garmin over papago..

Maybe because they r used the the garmin interface.. thats why they think papago sucks.. well.. for me personally.. i've used both of em.. but i like papago better than garmin..

and yup.. ur using the lite or the pro version.. some of the feature in pro doesnt included in the lite version..

too bad there's no garmin for iphone ... currently using papago ... wifi/3g/edge can help it to lock faster

i heard many ppl complained saying tat ppg takes very long time to lock the satellite.. izit true??

I am using PPG latest version with iPhone 4, before this iPhone 3GS. PPG always crash during usage... and it's unusable.. anyone knows any tips to avoid PPG from crashing?

Yes.. I'm using iOS 4.1.. I also noticed that, after upgrade to iOS4.1, PPG always crash makes it unusable. I think iOS4.1 is not the problem here, PPG maker should upgrade their app...

sigh .. so tempted to get the GPS applications for malaysia, sg and australia but the price is really.................

do these gps applications eventually drop to a price which is ... slightly more affordable?

I wana add GPS to my phone but not sure its worth it if only rarely use. Im running OS4 on 3G only, it lags enough normally no doubt it will be baaaaad with GPS.

i used papago m7 on my iphone4 today evening....yes, i noticed the lag....hmmm......i wonder why no garmin app?

oh, the roads for sabah dont seem to be accurate enough....some junctions and roads are missing...

I hv installed both tomtom and ppg, ppg seem like very less settings and route options, tomtom have more option but tomtom seem like cannot getting GPS signal~~

hey guys im pretty new to GPS apps on the iphone, but am seriously thinking of getting 1, browsed through the app store and saw two gps apps that's quite catching,

- papago
- tomtom

by price comparison, I'd prefer to papago as it's cheaper, just wondering, how does this work? they're both by satellites? means I do not need to activate 3g/wifi/data to start the navigation?

and another question is, after downloading the app, it's download-and-use or it'd require further registration/map downloading or so on so forth?

sincere apology if these questions are answered and asked before but really hope some1 cud help me out of this dilemma now. appreciate it. thanks

I'm using cgynett and somehow the rate of charging/consuming almost equal. The battery percentage does not change at all when using GPS. This is with 3GS though. I have yet to try with iP4

It's one of the earliest bug that I have reviewed in the AppStore as well. Lagginess that does not suit the capacitive screen.

In terms of the position lock, this is my theory. If one is to compare with GarminXT, they have what they call as "Show Location" function, can be found in the Map setting. There are two options, 1. On roads 2. At GPS location.

Those that pick "on roads", obviously will always see their car on the road, no matter how fluctuates the GPS signal is. If they choose the other one, it will show the most accurate GPS position at the moment and hence will show you out of the road position.

My point is, GPS signal is fluctuating depending on your location. Garmin has solved this issue by giving you the function stated so it will looks better on the map eventhough actually the GPS locked you adjacent to the road.

P/S: those claiming slow GPS lock, could you please inform us whether your AGPS aka Location Services is on or not?
