Tele Atlas and Mappoint Asia. In terms of POI database and detailed maps, Mfm wins hands down. You can't beat local on their own turf.

There are three different cases:

1. Someone who JB the phone and then blame PPG for not working. Bear in mind, there are some who JB the phone but PPG still working. Guess the method play its part.

2. Someone with iPhone 3G and having lots of problem with PPG. I guess Maction needs to clarify whether 3G hardware is sufficient for PPG or not.

3. Someone who never had the experience of using GPS and try to get the first cold start in a house and then posting to iTunes blaming PPG as super suck app without knowing he had officially declared himself as the Most Foolish Person on the planet.

I'm using PPG since the earliest version which is M6 until now on both iPhone 3GS and 4 WITHOUT any locking issue at all. In fact, with location services on, cold start in building will take less than 5 secs.

PPG do have problems like UI lagginess and out of position at corner, but its map database has convinced me enough this is the one for iPhone. If Garmin wish to enter the foray of iPhone, that will be a different story.

Not sure about you guys...i find papago's interface and overall look is horrendous! and it lags not only during navigation but in the menu selections. This is just MY take on PPG. no intention of attracting flak.

Bought it too soon...crap. how's Tom tom? I still rely on my garmin gps for navi.
