wat means no triangle?
I see so many small white triangles, laugh.gif

So far I feel its routing much better as it knows I can utilized a service road as the shortest route.

Recently papago is a piece of crap without the triangle indicator....
*
but I see so many small triangle indicator in M8. blink.gif

Papago has good maps but lousy and irritating voice navigation. Typical China man English! Always "At the intersection....at the intersection..."
Actually I prefer Garmin as without look at the screen the voice navigation can actually guide to to your destination.
And its POI display is more informative & clearer than Papago. Too bad Garmin is not into iPhone. mad.gif

I installed Papago into my iP4 lasy week - M8. Didnt use it. Any positive/negative comments on it.
*
see post 1267.

Very good routing but very irritating, un-informative & overboard voice instruction.
"At the intersection, pls turn....at the intersection, pls turn..."
If you drive fast, sure will miss the turning. sweat.gif
compare to garmin's
"In 150meter turn .....then turn..." thumbup.gif

they are always 90% accurate for me.

What happen to the safety requirements of 'keeping your eyes on the road'!

BTW Papago M8pro at USD25 = ~RM80 is not very expensive!

Papago uses offline map
For the price, it's not expensive. But the problem is that there are many users who have problems running the app... rendering their RM80 wasted.
If the app is rock stable, I'm sure many will buy the app happily.
*
So far I dun have any problem with M8 on iPhone 4 iOS 4.3.3.
May I know what are the problems faced by the many users?

QUOTE(_H20_ @ Oct 15 2011, 06:34 PM)
Sygig is a good navigation app. I also have papago m8. from google map point i can navigate to that point directly with sygig.

what are their difference and their pros and cons?

M8 never failed to guide me from my start point to end point and complaining about the route it use it quite oxymoron isn't it. The point of using gps is getting you from point A to point B, if you already knew the route, why still use it?

M8 have very detailed graphic and the route it chooses is smart.Never having problem using it all around Malaysia.
*
quite right, my only gripes is their voice navigation sux.
Waiting for garmin to be port to iOS, Malaysia+Sinkapo version, but definately not the Garmin StreetPilot version.

2. Whether it's set to AGPS

*
iPhone4 uses AGPS? I dun think so, but I may be wrong. blink.gif

iPhone4 locks in the sat signal very fast. - less than 30sec.

Currently I'm using PAPAGO!M8.2.0. This version is so much better.
No more that cheong hei 'at the intersection' this 'at the intersection' that!

But I can't get use to the ang mor voice of pronouncing our road names
'turn left at Gel Ann EM Tee Eskine! laugh.gif
(Turn left at Jalan Mt. Eskine)

papago is the best
*
Nope. Garmin is the best turn-by-turn voice navigation. Voice navigation that is the most accurate by far.
Only recently Papago with the version M8.2.0 improves tremendously, almost on par with Garmin but still not there yet.
Papago relies too much on its screen info which is WRONG.
Very basic principal of safe driving means keeping your eyes on the road and not on the tiny gps screen.
The Papago developers need to put themselves in the shoes of the FIA World Rally Championship navigators.

I have never use it purely on GPS and see how long the battery last on my Nokia. But I would guess with the proper setting and on 2G, it will probably last 6 hours to 8 hours thereabout continuous.

on my Nokia? laugh.gif

I want to weigh in here. I use sygic n Papago and I find Papago is super slow. The screen is quite ugly.
Sygic is smooth an it actually supports retina display. If u want fast smooth performance go for sygic period

Don't obsess over the best app instead focus on what u want. Speed, map, voice guidance lady lol oh btw the voice for sygic pleasant and nice
