Well there is not much difference from garmin..Papago..and sygic...but gamin is more accuratevfir Malaysia maps but unfortunately there no app for iPhone..accurate here means that they have more poi compare to others..other than both ppg and sygic is very good..since I'm using both of it..

Just updated my PPG M7 and i noticed the map part is now called map switch, i think in the next update, there might be more than one map used for the M7, hence the option to choose maps 

I would prefer Garmin to Papago, havent tried TomTom though..

I suggest u get the Lite version coz its cheaper (I bought Pro version, and are relatively regretting now )

For Iphone 4 its using GPS (3GS using A-GPS) its free no 3G/data required.

No registration or map downloading needed, though if they decided to upload new map then entire app need to be downloaded again..

Just like Papago just release update today, and its 400mb size (compared b4 was 200mb)

an advise for papago user.. do charge it the moment u start using.. especially when its in the afternoon hot sun.. phone tends to get very hot, and the charge wont pickup fast enuff than consuming. i have experince it so the moment i see it still doesnt charge up, i off the 3D navi sequence.

btw im using belkin micro adapter and 3GS. a trip to cameron and it serve me well.. try to put somewhere not directly under the windscreen/sunlight.. bcoz its super hot..

If u ask me, I rather their next update be a revamp of their entire interface. Atm it looks vry cheap and ugly.. And for them to fix those lag issues and accuracy as well! Hate it when at times it shows me jumping from the road to a field nxt to me, or on the other side of the road...

Indeed, Malfreemaps and the custom POIs are what makes Garmin that good. I read that the Garmin app could be free, which is a bit odd.

I never believe using a phone as an GPS alternative... Get a get proper GPS unit of any brands to conserve the battery for phone functions and services.

GPS is so affordable nowadays and it is no longer a luxury to have an unit stuck to the windshield.

Well if you must know.. I'm using iPhone 4, iOS 4.1, GENUINE PPG, not JB.

Still I think PPG is not very smooth compare to TomTom.. I just purchased TomTom. And very satisfied with stability and smoothness, and how well TomTom manage incoming call during navigation.

I'm using Capdase charger, just bought it a couple days ago in Epicentre, Pavilion.
It's only RM38 so i'd prefer branded more than China product xD

Since when papago leading..hehe..papago the best but batt drain like hell..need charge all the way when go trip..
