PPG has an update.

M6.4 has new malfreemap map dated 15th April 2010. Total download size 242.8MB. Been working real nicely for me and signal lock has been very fast.

Bro, the update has the updated map in it, works for me as i only need updated maps once every 6 months or so at the latest. But i think MFM have not be releasing an papago map updates recently. Not sure exactly what is going on. Any taikors can shed a light on this?

Papago M6.5 update has GPS coordinates option, yup finally. Map still the same but this new function is indeed a long overdue welcome addition

Going to Kuantan tomorrow, hope PPG dont let me down.

Used PPG in Kuantan today. Worked like a charm. Even found an address in a housing area without much problem. Without it, I would been driving around in circles, been more than 10 years since I last visit this town. Thumbs up!

papago pro at 19.99 is a good buy guys, the malfreemaps in it is already a bonus and it has updated features like can key in coordinates as well and junction view.

I bought it when it was 19.99 last time and have no regrets

As far as i know, GPS can only run for two hours on a fully charged battery. Of coz when you use it, the phone gets hot and it doesn't charge even though you plug in a car charger. So best option is get an external battery and charge it on the go when you have arrived at your destination. What to do, iphone 3gs battery is like that.

Now that the MFM-Papago is launched, we can look forward to map updates again soon when the next version (which includes iphone, android and WM) is out..

Malfreemaps 15th April 2010

Yup, M7.0 has a map update.. now downloading

Tested the new map features. For me no problem. Fast signal lock and works fine. However, still running on 14th April 2010 map.

Bro, u bought the pro version? coz pro comes with junction view and it really helps. My lock time is around 5 to 10 seconds.

The GPS actually makes the phone very hot and i believe it doesn't charge when the phone gets heated up. Hence connecting it to a charger wont really charge the phone when u r using GPS.

Agreed. It surely helps to have te screen in front of you in a nice angle as u drive so u can glance at it once a while. Will try the charging while using again and see if really got help or not. Was using ios3 last time and once the phone heated up, it stopped charging. I wonder if ios4 will be the same or not. Will report my findings after I give it a go today.

Papago M7.1 is out, has an update but sadly not the map as the mfm-ppg map 1.1 is not released yet

Just updated my PPG M7 and i noticed the map part is now called map switch, i think in the next update, there might be more than one map used for the M7, hence the option to choose maps

Not sure how the TTS will sound like and also not indicated how much it is

Correct me if i am wrong but dont the charging stop when the phone gets heated up? Hence even with the charger plugged in, i doubt the charging will take place

Yup, about time Garmin came into the iphone scene, will make PPG shiver in their spine. Only hope when garmin becomes available, the price would be competitive.
