Hi there, I'd like to ask an opinion between this 2 models which is the
-ViewSonic vx2433wm
-Dell ST2410

I've searched thru this forum, and hardly find any good comparison between this 2, except that the dell is a true 24" and is a lil cheaper.

Which of this 2 model would you guys recommend? My main purpose is for PC Gaming and for the Playstation3 smile.gif Thus the HDMI port is very important.

From what I've checked in reviews, the vx2433wm has 2ms response time while the ST2410 has 5ms response time, does it really matters? And how's the color quality between this 2 models in comparison smile.gif

If theres any other model for the 24inch in this price range, please do recommend smile.gif Thanks in advance! notworthy.gif

i think the dell st2410 will be a better choice between these two, backlight bleeding is still a problem, but not a major one
the 5ms and 2ms things aren't really noticable by human eye

Thanks for the reply smile.gif The backlight bleedin isn't too severe and noticable unless the screen is displayed pitch black rite?

Dell LCD Pixel Policy

Thanks for the pixel policy, was lookin thru their site last nite but couldn't find any. About the "Flat Panel Monitors with Premium Panel Guarantee" does it applies to the ST2410?

EDIT:
Just found out that ST2410 has no Premium Panel Guarantee, means I gotta have at least 6 dead pixels. Oh noes haha

Hi, i'm thinking of getting a new lcd monitor but with whats being offered i cant seem to make up my mind.

Usage : tv shows, movies, photos, gaming

Size : 23-24

Budget  : up to RM700

Response time : 2ms( is this really necessary?)

P/S: I also would really like it if it had hdmi interface

Was considering : Viewsonic VX2433W( not too sure though)

Forumers here recommended me the Dell ST2410 24inch at the price for RM699 now. Made my order but yet to reach yet biggrin.gif

Thanks will take that into consideration, would appreciate it also if you could feedback on the dell monitor once you acquire it if you dont mind that is.

Just arrived 10mins ago, thank god it has no dead pixels. Hooked up to my PS3 and it looks great. Never expected it to be this huge, picture quality wise is up to my satisfactory level, though it might be different to other users. I'll get my God of War3 copy later in the evening and hook it up to try out more on this ST2410 biggrin.gif

or that acer 24inch LED screan rm799 just lounching that one beter?

I'm using the Dell ST2410, arrived just few days back when I ordered it for RM699. Picture quality wise is quite good to my eyes, and when I plugged on to my PlayStation3 to play God of War3 its just awesome. I'd say its best bang for buck, you might need to do some brightness/contrast tweaking to get the best picture quality possible smile.gif They delivered it straight to my doorstep and it came in with 0 pixel problems so I'm just happy with it smile.gif

so far how with the waranty from dell?
dell.com.my show that will be under waranty of 3 years..
is that one to one change a new set if got problem or?
*
I'm not too sure about the monitor, but I have experience with dell's laptop warranty, they will send in a technician to check of the problems and they will do on-site repairs, means repair straight at your house. If its un-repairable. I'm guessin that they will do a one-to-one exchange. Have to ask those who have done warranty claims from dell for more detailed information smile.gif

thanks for reply..
i think i mostly wil chose dell product,,cuz the waranty..
how much the price market selling for the hdmi cable..
dell offer that model is not inclued hdmi cable..
if need it must add for RM80...
should i buy together or mayb i can get cheaper at other shop?
*
Theres cheapo brandless HDMI going for as low as 30bucks in the garage sales smile.gif or you may opt for those that are about rm100. RM30 bucks does wonders according to PS3 games who hooked it up to their LCDTV and it can display 1080p without any prob smile.gif
