the x-fi would be better....when using HDMI for audio to the monitor, the monitors onboard DAC (aka sound processor) will be doing the processing... and it would most likely be a cheapo DAC...as compared to the X-Fi's (most likely) better DAC.
no worries bro, good enuf for me

. Yeap i will update when i get mine later on, hyper now can't wait it arrive

This is my first monitor, and boy is it huge! Making enough room for it on the table took up much longer than setting up it in fact. But all in all, im very satisfied with it. No dead pixels at all when i checked and colours are warm, which i liked. Currently using the supplied vga cable, would certainly try out a hdmi connection whenever i get my hands on one.
My revision number is A00. Let me know yours once you get it, Shoot@M3.
ps. sorry, no time to do a review. so this is just a short impression on it.
LOL'ed at this. I also hate it when they do that puzzled look and keep thinking they're right. Plus some of them treat us as if we dunno anything. I would leave that shop too if happen like that (considered polite enuf without making much fuss) or.. if having a bad day, i'll talk to the boss on site

I just paid a visit to LYP just now after work. Again, it has been a while since I last stepped in to a place I used to visit at least once in a week or two back in those old school days.
Many changes overall compared to the LYP back in years, I'm wondering if Sungei Wang will generating lower revenue due to LYP nowdays

Anyway, ends of sentimental. I just wanted to share an experience with you guys which I had just now. Almost hilarious or perhaps just too sad for it.
I walked into Dell's showroom and was browsing around. Then a sales guy approached me and I pointed at a monitor (I'm not so sure if it was ST2410, so I'm just trying to get a clarification).
Here we go...
Me: What's the model of this monitor?
Sales: *points at the Dell logo on the monitor bezel and said* It's a Dell model.
Me: Err... okay. (Hoping he got me wrong and so I ask again) I know obviously it is a Dell since this is a Dell showroom. Again, what's the model of the monitor?
Sales: *points on the description (written in wordpad) on the screen* It's a FullHD... HDMI... LCD Monitor.
Me: Okay, thanks and bye.
I

myself for wasting my time...
another LOL'ed. maybe new salesperson. i think we couldn't bothered to continue the conversation asking the sales person, guiding him thru the step by step process of getting the stuff online.. then at the end pointing about the delivery fees *
hahaha

I encountered something like that before. Went into a Dell retailer store and happened to see a ST2410 on display. Asked for the price and the sales person told me it's RM750. Ok, nvm then i told him about the online pricing of RM679. He replied me saying if you order online you have to pay for the delivery, which is very expensive because the monitor is heavy..
