This is the Samsung B2330 Monitor full report:

I finally purchased the B2330 at Pc fair today at the price of Rm613.

This is the whole story:
1. The setting up of the monitor is pretty easy (easier than stacking lego bricks). However, the monitor is vulnerable to vibration. So don't shake it or knock it especially at the corner.
2. I purposely connect a HDMI cable to my ATI 5750 graphic card. The HDMI cable (not provided) is Giraffe brand and I assume it's quite high end since it comes with my Sony Bravia Full HD Tv.
3. Starting up windows, I notice fonts are not sharp. I thought it's normal since I haven't do any calibration.
4. So I started calibration and I notice that the monitor detect the input as AV, not PC and there's no way to fix it. After 1 hour calibration on LCD Calibration Website, I am very very sad because all the contrast, gamma and sharpness did not pass the test. Any adjustment doesn't improve the picture quality.
5. I feel very sad and angry. I don't support Samsung anymore!
6. Changed the HDMI cable to DVI cable and restart the computer.
7. Upon starting windows, I immediately notice fonts and colours are super sharp and clear.
8. Go to the calibration website again and made some minor adjustment, 10 minutes finish everything.
9. I'm now super happy and satisfied. I still support Samsung.
10. Now watching Transformer 2 at 1080p.

Moral of the story:
1. HDMI from graphic card is not compatible with Samsung B2330. I think the HDMI port is meant for PS3 or Xbox 360, not directly from graphic card.
2. DVI cable provide best quality. The first time with HDMI cable, you can notice all the clock and phase run-away, and have to go ATI to adjust overscan. When change to DVI cable, no need to do anything!
3. In summary :
HDMI cable: font not sharp, clock and phase out of sync, screen not compatible with 'ATI overscan', screen flicker, got even worse after windows calibration, NO WAY to improve picture quality.
DVI cable: no need to do anything on windows, fully utilize the whole panel. Just do some minor brightness and contrast at the 'on-screen' menu.
(there's nothing wrong with HDMI technology, my Astro Beyond is using it, it's just that this monitor don't treat HDMI as PC input.)

For those who are going to got this monitor this pc-fair:
1. use the DVI provided, no need to spend money get a HDMI cable.
2. Open the Photo Friday website and leave it open. Don't do anything even the contrast doesn't match.
3. Go to  LCD Calibration Website and do some minor calibration to suit your taste.
4. Go back to Photo Friday website and you'll notice it's now at optimal adjustment.

This is the detail pros and cons:
Pros : colour is good (white doesn't look blue-ish), gives you optimal performance after minor calibration.
Cons: got back-light bleeding if you're in a dark room, HDMI is more compatible with console rather than PC, touch-sensitive adjustment (you need to have a gentle finger), most function such as MagicEco, Magic Bright, MagicEco are all useless to achieve perfect picture quality, the screen cannot be tilt/swivel.

Still, highly recommended!
