I think AOC 2434pw got gradient banding issue. I scroll up and down while viewing the tester, the color seems running. Does it occur with other monitor?
*
Mine don't have this prob.

but recently it started appear again, but this time it takes a loooong time for it to go away or it doesn't at all.

Is it my monitor's problem or gc

Try put your monitor on other PC/lappy. If prob still exist, then you gonna bring your LCD to RMA/repair.

LCD might break down @ the first day you carry back home, now it served you one year ++ you're lucky lo bro.
Bring your LCD to RMA if under warranty, otherwise ask someone to repair.

i expect the lcd could last for at least 3-4 years,

the warranty period is over already,is it worth fixing at all or just buy a new one?
*
I think it is worth if not cost you more than RM100, otherwise grab a new LCD monitor drool.gif rolleyes.gif brows.gif

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. By right you should check before you bought it.
Mostly they don't allow, only up to 6-7 DP only can claim.
*
Samsung will accept only more than 6 DPs, AOC not sure. But you can ask.

Today saw the Viewsonic advertisement in the Star Intech.
They said the monitors come with 3 years onsite warranty.
Does it means that they will come to your house to replace the monitor (as what Dell is doing)?
*
This sound interesting, hope there offering same services as Dell !

I wonder do people use Plasma TV as their monitors for PC.

Plasma TVs are really cheap in Australia. I just saw a decent brand 42inch Plasma going for AU$600 which is around RM1.8k.
*
Plasma TV seems like too big as PC's display, not everyone can afford the price & size.

I would love the apple cinema display. Currently looking for / at panel which is the IPS type. sadly they are expensive!!
*
Yeah, IPS panel monitors are expensive as it was perfect for graphic designer. For gamers / normal user, TN panel monitors is better.

hey guys, if compare with 21.5 inch and 22 inch. which one is better?
*
The size was just 0.5 inch different sweat.gif For the resolution is huge different, one is 1920x1080 another one is 1680x1050. For me 21.5 with 1920x1080, the font will look quite small when you browsing internet !
