QUOTE(ScarLight @ Mar 21 2010, 06:11 PM) Hello to all sifu's, I too need to get an LCD monitor but after reading the threads i still cant narrow down the models cause I'm looking for a particular spec to fit my energy efficient yet performance optimized rig hope i can get some & suggested models based on the requirement: Priority highest on top then to bottom: a. size of monitor 23'' - 27'' (the bigger the better) b. led + energy efficient (hopefully lowest possible consumption without losing image/contrast quality) c. high contrast ratio and response time d. Price < RM800 e. brand f. miscellaneous features and design Please enlighten me if there is other things i need to consider regarding the energy efficient matter. For the price I'm actually flexible with it as long its reasonable. acer s243hl happy user here, rm789, led backlit lcd, 8,000.000:1 contrast 2ms response This post has been edited by CyborgR: Mar 21 2010, 08:20 PM

p2450h reviews digital versusQUOTE An average monitor, and no more. You can find better performance at all levels of the current market. However, if the use you intend it for doesn’t require extremely accurate colours or sophisticated design, it might suit you perfectly. Even more surprisingly, during our tests with a Blu-ray player, the P2450H wasn’t able to display anything better than 1080i. nothing perfect..unless u have the extra bucks s243hl fake response, p2450h fake full hd XD This post has been edited by CyborgR: Mar 21 2010, 10:40 PM

QUOTE What is reverse ghosting? With the aim of suppressing ghosting of objects in movement to a maximum, manufacturers use electrical impulses to accelerate the passage from one colour to another. When all goes well, this operation can, for example, allow you to transform your 5 ms TN monitor into a 2 ms. Unfortunately constructors often mis-manage the process. This is when you get what is known as reverse ghosting. In such a scenario the phantom images that they were trying to remove only become more marked. In some extreme cases, the effect becomes visible when you do no more than move the mouse, leaving a black trail that follows the cursor everywhere. but my eye not so power can detect it la.. i don see any trail anyway

QUOTE(lastlion @ Mar 23 2010, 11:06 AM) Anyone here using samsung p2770h 27" monitor? as in my previous post.. I still have this problem of vibrating display but only when using 1920x1080 (32bit colour) setting. So far this monitor screen refresh rate is only 60 hertz..neither more nor less. (if anybody can set it up differently do tell me please.. ) So far for me to stop this vibrating problem, i hv to set it to a resolution of 1920x1080 but change the colour properties to 16bit OR c hange the resolution to below 1920x1080. Of course i'll be chosing the latter option. but knowing the monitor is fullHD capable..it is disappointing. Anyone have a solution do tell me...thanx. if u using ati graphic card, go to the CCC, scaling option there, try to increase fr 0% to 1-2% percent, it may reduce the scaling a little empty box but try and see how the effect. do give your feedback. my case was when i use 0%, i can see the font vibrating, but increase to 1%, the font get smoother This post has been edited by CyborgR: Mar 23 2010, 04:34 PM
