QUOTE(soundsyst64 @ Mar 18 2010, 02:14 PM) Just bought Samsung B2230H to become my primary display while my old LG W2252TQ 16:10 become my secondary display. How is it?Is it the glossy type?So far so good, even though hard to tune B2230H colour setting to match with LG Important thing:Can u snap some pics of your new monitor plssssssss...i really need to see it Added on March 18, 2010, 7:00 pmIf not mistaken there are Benq LED backlit monitors being sold for around RM600...How come Benq stuffs are always overlooked?? Btw, what about a Dell ST2310?It's only RM619 and at FHD resolution......but the thing is that the OEM is Samsung This post has been edited by -kytz-: Mar 18 2010, 07:11 PM |

QUOTE(cherroy @ May 6 2010, 11:54 PM) 16:9 seems "elongated" for ordinary computer task. But 16:9 is the trend right now. It is must difficult to find a 16:10 monitor, majority goes to 16:9 ratio. The other day i saw Astro Beyond being played on a FHD TV.IMHO, it was good and definitely much better than Astro SD.The most annoying marketing gimmick/strategy of Full HD is when sales person try to convince customer to buy a Full HD TV to watch Astro. Astro is on 480 if not mistaken, and even the new Astro Beyond which is HD, you just need a HD ready monitor which can full utilise the HD already, as Astro Beyond is under 720 or 1080i which is not yet Full HD definition as well. Correct me if I am wrong. We are still seriously lack source of Full HD until nowadays. FYI, as of now, there is NO 1080p broadcast signal anywhere in the world, the bandwidth is too much.Hence, most well informed folks will buy BD movies. That's where all the 1080p content is coming from mostly besides torrents |

QUOTE(cucubud @ May 7 2010, 07:45 AM) What about displaying a 10MP photo on a Full HD (1920x1080) monitor and a HD Ready (1024x768) monitor. Do they have any difference? Obviously the 1080p monitor will produce a sharper picture as it can display 2 million pixels compared to the 800k pixels by the 1024x768 monitorHigher pixels count =Sharper picture/video |
