Langkawi is a very safe place and crime rate is low. Even if there are crimes, it is usually drug related. Why do you want to overnight in the airport anyway? Helang Hotel is just outside the airport entrance, in fact just like next door. I think they close the airports after the shops are closed and if there's no arrival or departures for the night.
