For those who already bought Monsters Inc, another offer to get pretty good price on Up.

AmazonUp Offer

Buy Up and another disney BD and get the same USD10 off. I believe it also stacks with Monsters Inc.

So in essence 3 BDs from Disney at ~ USD16 each.
*
i can confirm that the promo of $10 + $10 = $20 stacks. i just ordered both Up & Monsters Inc + another title on that list. thumbup.gif

I already order UP and Monster Inc together but Amazon didn't allow me to combine with another order sad.gif

That's pretty weird since the order status still in state of "not yet shipped"
*
mmm, in that case, better hurry & cancel it & then re-order again b4 it ships. but i'd reckon the deal is only worth it if there's really another title in that limited list which you'd like to have. even without the disneybd promo, the present up & monster inc combo is a pretty sweet deal already, considering that both are disney titles as well as new releases to boot. not forgetting, it can / might only go cheaper b4 shipping smile.gif

QUOTE(chewkl @ Nov 5 2009, 03:26 PM)
I tried to add Up and Monsters Inc and I only got total USD10 off. When I try to put the DISNEYBD code during checkout it says it cannot be applied. What am I doing wrong?
*
it only works for 3 separate titles. won't work on eg 2 qty of up & 1 qty monster inc combo.

Luckily those titles in the promo are not "poisonous" enough to affect me sweat.gif
*
heh heh, good for ya, but i do really see an opportunity to make some $$$ for traders here, imagine $24.90 for 10 copies of say, van helsing for an ave $2.49 / title (excl S&H) rclxms.gif

p.s. in our case, since we'd have to include S&H, ave $6.98 / copy

Wah, many people must have ordered due to promo and they increased the price  sad.gif
*
i'd reckon the response was so overwhelming, they had to do something about it. i guess the promo folks didn't forsee the potential for exploitation when they launched it. i caught the promo very early (around 6 pm, our timezone) where it was possible to place 10 copies of say, van helsing for $124.90 ($12.49 /each) (cos i tried it out) & get the $100 promo discount for only $2.49 each, excl S&H. subsequently, they limited it to max 3 copies each. now, the price increase seemed inevitable. most of the titles were available & in stock as well too except for riddick & 1 of the F&F titles. now they are out of stock for nearly all of em.

Yup probably they didn't foresee the demand. Ha-ha, glad you managed to get in early and exploited the loop hole - 10x Van Helsing for $24.90 (w/o shipping) is dirt cheap! smile.gif
*
nah, i didn't do it. i stopped short at the final step @ "place your order" stage. i just wanted to see if was possible to do it. in the end, after contemplating 6 BD's, i ended up ordering 10 of em instead, all different titles for my collection smile.gif

My BD60 is newly bought and can played Dark Knight, UP, Monster Inc. and G.I.Joe
But this 2 titles cannot..y??
*
try it on another player i.e any of your friends & test it & see. most likely is the fault of the media itself (either incompatitble region or rosak) cos the other titles can be played on your current player.

Should be original. Cover looked origin but the internal disc photo/picture looks a bit blurr.
*
if possible, compare your copies to those that our forummers bought & see can spot the difference or not. the other thing i can think of is the "serial no." which is commonly found on the inner circle of the disc.

mmm, also, the back of the disc where the bar code info is, try to check the no. & compare if it is the same as those posted in amazon US, UK etc

yeah, i agree...it blows my mind away! the special effects was subtly blended with the real actor and props. i now we have seen all that but dont know why it feel different when watching it. maybe i sympathized to much with the guy, hahaha

QUOTE(robertngo @ Dec 3 2009, 08:09 AM)
maybe the character feel more like human, he is scared and selfish. unlike most movie hero that are like a fearless saint. also the movie have a budget of $ 35 millions, less then even the budget of some comedy movie these day. Halo fanbay must thinking what a awesome halo movie it will be if this directory have been given the green light to made it. the last part of the movie is basically what halo movie would have look like.
*
i think the movie was very well made despite its shoestring budget. i liked the storyline a lot, it seemed to me the aliens had more compassion & put em humans to shame.

One order shipped out on Nov 15 already received on Nov 23!  rclxms.gif
But another order shipped on Nov 18 until today (as I type this post) oso not yet come....  doh.gif
Both of the above were ordered before Black Friday sales!
Just wondering when will my eagerly awaiting Black Friday haul's then... gonna arrive!?!  hmm.gif
*
the fastest lead time from amazon US is 8 days for me, 21days was the longest i waited for deliveries to kl. both via std int'l shipping. i really thinks it depends on how fast customs clears the packages. u will receive it even faster if u have a US address.

I don't think there is any saving if purchase those titles.  In fact, Amazon actually increase the price for those titles.  If you brought those titles during this "promotion", I believe you will end up paying more than if you purchase without this promotion.  laugh.gif

yuppers, only "worthwhile" if someone does like the titles and decided they wanna purchase those titles on offer anyway but, the chances are miniscule i'd reckon.
