My discovery over the weekend.

Sadly my PAL DC sold already, can't seem to get Shen Mue and Sega Rally to work on my Jap DC with utopia disc  cry.gif  ~ both just stop around 97%

DOA fared badly as well as half of the screen is cut of from the TV.

Soul Caliber work perfectly.

FC Mike Tyson Punch out and SFC (PAL) Super Mario World to top up the whole search.

That's my favourite shmup brows.gif

Quickly finish the game with as many continues you need, then unlock superplay mode to watch how it should be played. After watching I'm sure you'd ask "why so unfair!" then we can discuss why laugh.gif

my fav ship is the silver sword, heard there's bonus ships hmm.gif

finished the game (didnt know abt freeplay until "EDIT" in option)... the game has arranged OST too... quite nice

really loved stage 3 - 5 (its harder and harder to dodge bullets), the bosses are super-difficult rclxub.gif ... better use joystick than joypad??? doh.gif

went into superplay mode (stage 2 - omg points paradise.. i didn't know abt that) then the player scored overwhelming 15million++ points (good tactic & flying + points mgmt, in order to get the 1ups... brain hemorrhage

make me wanna search out Soukyugurentai

Soukyugurentai is even more punishing than Battle Garegga, but I find it less enjoyable.. when you select ship, make sure you select with A+B+C to get a more powerful and speedier ship. And did you realized the superplay player keep on dying? That's the trick, suicide at the right time to keep the difficulty down.
i've read somewhere that they implemented difficulty adjustment, somewhat can be irritating, nevertheless its challenging.

i couldn't see some of the bullets (too fast to dodge)... the last two stages are very demanding...

i also given up trying to keep up on raiden series...

wish i could play back RS or ikaruga

i remembered back in the old days when sega wanted to release virtua fighter and panzer dragoon on PC.... bundled with Diamond Edge 3D card 2mb vram (so expensive at the time USD299/399) rclxub.gif

Its the only card that have the ability to use Sega Saturn controllers.

I remember that too, but was it Diamond? I remember my friend's PC back then came bundled with both VF Remix and Panzer Dragoon. I think it was an Asus card. Don't remember what chipset was it though. And I could be wrong, but Creative Labs also had a similar bundle. I soooo wanted to play VF Remix back then. Too bad it won't work on PCs without the card. Luckily SEGA released VFPC for everyone else to enjoy  rclxms.gif

the chipset was the 1st from Nvidia...

anybody play this game before ? i remember playing this game during the SSF2X era,
spotted this arcade machine in a snooker center near PJ section 14,
gameplay similar to Warzard, human character vs big monsters,
one cool feature about his game is u get to coop with your buddy sf zero style (ryu/ken vs vega),
spent a lot of 20 cents on this game during the school holidays, really fun game. thumbup.gif
*
very similar to Banpresto's Oni The Ninja Master (Jp), based on Cave arcade system i think...

heck they changed the name to Metamoqester rclxub.gif

Don't like it very much. I think the Neo Geo hardware can't really keep up with the (then) cool graphics of CVS. In CVS, projectile attacks are rendered in 3D, instead of sprites. SNK did something similiar in SVC Chaos, where projectiles have a rendered look. Looks weird to me. And seriously, what's with Sagat's sprite?

sagat standing sprite quite funny... like he got backache or something laugh.gif

I don't think that's possible. But if u got a spare lens from another broken dreamcast but the optic is still fine, u can easily remove the whole optic set (including the motor and enclosure) and install to another dreamcast.

If the optic is not spoiled yet but cannot read disc, maybe u can try to adjust the laser by turning a little bit the screw nearby the optic. Sometimes it can revive the optic.

ok bro thanks a lot  rclxms.gif

yeah, either find spare gd-drive or re-calibrate the laser

yesterday was browsing around for dc mod, battery etc...

a recent article on modding pc-cdrom lens into dc
